The 2nd generation Z28 Camaros starting in 1970 had the 350cc LT-1 motor.

In front of the roundel, Autolite, Goodyear, Koni stickers, but what is the other sticker?

Not sure if it is of any help, but the license plate looks like it has the larger format font, from before the 7 character plates were introduced.  In my notes, the narrower font was started in 1979, when the regular issue plates were in the nnn WLA range. The 7 char regular issue 1 AAA 000 plates started in 1980, but I am not sure when 7 char personalized plates were first issued.

The CA DMV website says personalized plates started in 1972.

For dating purposes, and for the regular issue, non-personalized plates, approx dates:

AAA 000 started 1963
000 AAA started 1969
1 AAA 000 started 1980
2 AAA 000 started 1986
3 series 1992
4 series 1998
5 series 2003
6 series 2008
7 series 2013
8 series 2017
9 series 2022

Before California allowed retro-fitting the 60's style yellow on black plates, the phrase "CA black plate" meant something.  True, today, it does not mean much at all, unless the owner can back it up with all of the yearly renewal stickers.

Correct, in California, reg stickers are only applied on the rear plate.  Since plates are issued in pairs, even MFG plates, easy enough for one pair to be split across two vehicles.

While reading through the book titled Flat Out! The Rollie Free Story, John Timanus is mentioned racing an Ariel 500cc single, in 1947, at Rosamond dry lake, and winning the 30.50 inch gas class with a speed of 98.32 MPH.  Does anyone know more about John's motorcycle racing efforts?

This was taken around the open house invitation to the press in June.
The fender emblem continues to appear in the higher mounted position. unlike that press photo in the lower placement.

The gas cap certainly match the left side placement of csx2000.

If this is from 1965, seems odd the car would still have a pre-1963 black on yellow license plate, instead of a yellow on black plate.

This one sold a few years ago at Monterey, $2.9M including buyers fee.
