News from HQ / Re: SAAC-45 - Officially Cancelled
May 05, 2020, 06:52:45 AM
+1 on the swag as well. all of us staffers will miss seeing everybody.

The mask is a great idea, as there will be other Shelby events later this year, and a themed mask would be great!!!

Still waiting for a good Sunday morning, but will have the event! Thinking May 31 or June 7

With the Convention cancelled, how about all you North Eastern folks come join us?

So far, no changes, but still a long way off, and hoping we'll be back to some sort of normal by then.

A fun time! Social, cars, and ice cream!!!

Watch this space!

I put an ADDCO on my 68. Two clamps on the frame behind the rear & shocks, mounted on the leafs just in front of the axle.

Probably either a BOSS 302 bar, or maybe an ADDCO bar?

Did it run next to the gas tank, or on the rear axle like the Boss 429?

SAAC-45 / Re: Popular Ballot Car SHow for SAAC-45

As long as the convention is a go, we'll be asking for help again in running the car show. Help with registration at the showfield, parking, and vote counting.

Always much more fun to be involved!

To all Lehigh Valley Region SAAC Members;

In these unique times, anything car club related  has been halted for now, as we are required to under the current guidelines. But, the club is still active, planning events, and looking to the future once we all can resume being social, and get back to Normal (ish). Thank you for your patience, optimism, and hope for a happy future.

I am preparing an update letter to be sent to all paid 2020 club members, to bring everyone up to speed on plans, events, and more. It will go out on an e-mail blast. If you have let your membership lapse, renew quick, so you can get this. It will have info not available on this and other sites.

If we want to try a club video chat one night, it could be fun, chaotic, and absolutely nuts!

My warmest regards to all, please keep safe, and be as optimistic as I am. I want to see all of you once this is over.

My very best,
Dan Reiter
Club Chair

We'll be pushing back the date, but not sure to when yet.

No regional groups in MS, want to get something going? Make it fun and easy to start.

Yes, older replica, a company long out of business.

Again, Click-bait, and media not knowing anything about a picture, but saying something anyway.

Ignore, move on to the next one

Remember the one universal axiom of any club, organization, or group:

"What you put into it will directly affect what you get out of it"

Many just join or get the car first, either order, do very little, don't attend conventions, growl at the tributes, keep the cars in airtight, bulletproof enclosures, and think that now they are the greatest. They are the ones you should avoid.

Look for those that drive the cars, enthusiastically share info, are active in regional groups, go to the national conventions, ask questions. Be an active member. When you are that, then membership is worth it.

If you just are going to buy and gloat, think twice.

(BTW - I have been a member 30+ years, NEVER owned a genuine Shelby vehicle, run my SAAC regional group for 25 years, have been a delirious convention staff worker since 1992, and more. Get involved. It's more fun)

Yes, Steve, you are on the big list for the club's events. Smaller list is for replacing club meetings short term.

Hoping we can get through this and have the events as planned
