Just fishing for input, nothing decided yet.

It's no secret, most car weekend events are shrinking. SAAC National conventions have cratered, with a drop probably reaching 50% over the years. And costs going UP to run them. It's definitely a negative proposition, and cost savings are paramount, yet trying to provide a great event.

Our Sunday Shelby/Mustang/Ford Cars show at Silver Springs A.A. is doing very well, proceeds going to Charity, it's a great event. 2023 date is Tentatively Sunday Sept 24, 2023. Mark and hold that date! This year's charity will be "Paws of Valor", a group that provides service dogs to Veterans in special need. We are looking for sponsors to help fund the show.

And, our Fall Tour is also a great time, enjoyed bay many, but thinking of moving it back into early October, so the leaves will be changing color, and it can be better organized and hopefully better attended running as a stand-alone. More options for the route as well.

I'd like to hear your input, feedback, and if you know of any events already scheduled in that time frame.

Many, many thanks in advance,

Hold the dates!

While no firm details to release yet, this is the weekend bookmarked for the annual event. Working on the details, stay tuned!!!

To my knowledge, registration is being prepared and worked on, but not ready to "go Live" yet.

OK, I am only 20 miles from the car if anybody needs anything. I do remember the car. It has not been active recently that I can recall.

Come on Dan, they don't get sharper than black with red on a 68(OK not factory). To think I sold it after buying your old car but I wanted power over looks.. Well to me a 69 Mach1 is right up there.

Exactly Gary, It is sharp! Many have changed color to make it better for them.

I painted my 68 from Maroon to Acapulco Blue. I know one very famous 1969 GT-500 that went from Grabber Green to Grabber Blue.

For example, a plain red or white, or that pea green 1968 will be a flop, boring, snoozer, but a Saturn Yellow 1969 will be a WOW!!!

Conversely, and dark maroon 1969 is just dreadful, but a special paint 1968, or Acapulco blue will get eyeballs.

Following along, but he has not answered the one question of how much will he be driving, and where. If he is only planning on highway, or back roads, the 4-speed. But any slow driving, parades, etc, auto. The factory clutch linkage is a BEAR!!!

or, get the 4-speed, convert to hydraulic clutch!

Gary, you are correct. Under-Cap electronic, MSD Blaster II coil disguised as stock, 8mm Plain black Jacob's wires, plugs were gapped a little bigger. Great system, something I recommend to everybody. Looks stock, much better than points and stock coil.
