I'll have to look for the info but one of the things you can do to prevent loosing the caps is to use an internal snap ring on the back side of the cap once it is installed. I'll look for the proper size that was referenced.

Thanks for the update, greatly appreciated. I was just thinking this past weekend when I was checking on some of my other orders that I should give Craig a call or shoot him an email to see where things are at. I just sent him an email earlier to check the status of my order.

I put my name on the list to get a set back in January of this year. When I checked on the status in June Craig told me his supplier of the rims had put some kind of crazy number for a minimum order in place and I'm guessing he hasn't hit that number yet. Luckily (or unluckily), I'm still in paint purgatory and I don't need them yet. Even if I wanted to get my old ones done, that wouldn't be possible right now either. Hopefully there will be a solution soon.

I'm going out on Saturday to see if Ben's Boss sells, if anyone wants to ride along. Leaving around 6:00 a.m. Could meet somewhere along 22 or 78. Tickets are $10 cheaper $20 vs $30) if you purchase online before 11:59 p.m. tomorrow night (Tuesday).

So is the difference soley in the air cleaner bases or is the air chamber on the underside of the hood different between the 2 models also? I don't have access to my hood right now to look at it.

I know there is a difference in the heigth of the seal between GT350 and GT500. Is there a difference in the diameter also and if so is just the air cleaner base different or is thwe air chamber different between the two also? Thanks!

He must have had those wheels stashed away from another project as they weren't the ones that were on the car when he bought it which was only about 3 - 4 months ago and I've been waiting longer than that for mine.

I still have pictures from the Great Gorge convention where we went to Island Dragway and somehow I always ended up matched up with him no matter which line I chose. Definetley a character in the best sense.

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / plastic bead blasting

Does anyone have any experience with American Dry Stripping in Milford CT.? I am contemplating using them to strip all the fiberglass pieces from my car. Between remnants of the metal flake, and whatever they used to prep it to turn it back to a normal paint job, I could be scraping for a long time in some areas. From what I've read, the reviews look good but wondered if any one on here has used them or know someone that has.
Thanks!

Found this write-up from the Boss Registry. Goes back a ways but provides some interesting information. The S9MS 5560A that is on Gary's spring matches what is shown on the chart for the Shelbys. Interesting that the spring rate is lower on the Shelby yet the load rate is higher than that of the Boss. Shame that free arch is not noted but as was mentioned, they used different parameters back then. If you use the same formula as shown for the Boss spring, the Shelby's 750/135 would mean a free arch of approximately 5.5 inches which is still short of the numbers Bob came up with but definitely better than the 3.62 for the Boss. I am going to try and enlarge the engineering drawing at work on Monday and still have it somewhat readable. We'll see what happens.

General also quotes a spring rate of 152 for the 42-503.
