Retirement is a job and best taken seriously.

Wishing you all the best.

Thanks for sharing.  To think when I was in Denver I had an extra day and missed this.

Thanks everyone for your input.  I found my wing nuts.
When I removed them I had forgotten I put them in a safe place.
So safe I couldn't remember where until a passenger in my truck noticed them
in the armrest pocket.

I recently lost my original wing style bolts to the top of the air cleaner plate.
thought I put them in my pocket but obviously screwed that up....

My mechanic commented that they are slightly larger than most you will find at Home Depot
or places like that.
Any idea who or where to go to find a replacement set?

Are there any SAAC judges in Los Angeles area ?
I ask as I'd like to hire one to view a 1968 Shelby.

Figured the best place to post this was here, but maybe not.
Any suggestions ?
thanks

Concours Talk / judging my 68 Gt350

I don't know if this is the correct place to post this....

I would like to pay a judge to score my Shelby 68 350GT.
Identify to be sure it is what I believe it to be.
I live in the Los Angeles area and love any referrals or references.
Thank you in advance.

Well said Shelbydoug !!!

If you are still standing on the sidelines and have not registered your Shelby of any year please do so.

I'll leave it at that.

Based on what I see in the Registry 2020 maybe 60% missing in action.
I am surprised to learn on this thread how many are just tucked away without being registered.

I remember my Porsche days going to the dismantler and inquiring how he can possibly have all these "brand new" turbo parts.
His reponse was great.  Most Turbos that are totaled have less than 500 miles on them as everyone can get up to speed only knowing how to apply the brakes properly keeps them from being totaled.

My guess is the same happened back in the day with most Shelby's just my opinion.

I'll have to report back having just received my 2020 1968 Register.
At first glance there seem to be a lot of "missing" or not current going back decades.

It will be a while before I can report back - for anyone interested.......

Barrett Jackson was a frenzy IMO-
Seemed like red ruled the day.
