OK they are matched set and both 345E 5.  Not gonna count the days but I think that would put them around the first to second week of December.  They have not been re-arched but I have never re arched bottom leaves before as I think unless they are really worn out they don't need it. They are original unrestored state and nice.  I would be open to swapping them for the May 65 set

Hi TLea,  Are you thinking just the bottom leaf or the entire assemblies?  It would be much easier just the bottom leafs.  It would be an easier swamp for me to put into the May set without having to have restored and re-arched.

Cory
Hi Cory. Yes it would be much easier just to swap bottom leafs

To answer your question specifically, yes the boot and fork were in place when the engine was painted with a bell housing on. It's common but probably not typical that there's that much paint in that area. It just varied with how aggressive the painter was but I certainly have seen other examples of what you're showing

Hey guys. I have a pair I don't want to sell but I might trade for different dates. I don't remember dates off top of my head but thought they were later 65. Will check on Monday night

. I bought my kit from MICO about 4 years ago through one of their local dealers (they will refer you to a near-by dealer if you need any parts). Contact MICO directly to get your necessary parts/kit and THEN tell the dealer what to order. The dealers will only muddy the water if they are in the specifying loop and you might not get what you need on the first go around.

It's now time to bite the bullet.

I hope this helps.

Frank
Frank the game has changed. Mico or their dealers no longer keep parts in stock. They are made (in Mexico) on a special order basis.  Had to wait 14 weeks for last one I did

Extra wires are because Drake copied the ford service which which is the c8sa which also includes Thunderbirds with cornering lights . Cut and tape those two wires

If you were talking about the fiberglass headlight bucket  then yes the rivet on the side is supposed to be there and it gets painted over. Some late service pieces do not have the rivet

Not in all cases. Have seen build sheets stating 38 that have 42 and 55
I would agree your car should have 55
