This car and its condition reminds me of a 4 speed KR that was sitting in a warehouse here in Northern Ohio for decades. It along with two K code fastbacks were always going to be restored by the owner. Unfortunately this past spring a fatal heart attack got in the way. A very tacky situation occurred at the funeral home where several strangers showed up to give the widow their phone numbers to offer top price for the Shelby. She finally sold the car to the son's friend that runs a body shop. Original trans but no engine - $41K.

Curiosity question. Is this SN-60/Shelby supercharger the same as the one on a 64 Avanti R2?

I should have been more specific. I have seen this red ink with and without the 260821 number. First time seeing the circle 26. Mostly have seen black ink both large and small font. Trying to find out what's the correct stamping.

What is the correct part # inking on a starter delay?

This may be the Shelby where the driver side exhaust manifold bangs the shock tower on a hard rev. He blows this off that this happened with a bunch of Mustangs with 'SCJs' because the metal was sloppy aligned and assembled. It tells me the shock tower got pushed in because of accident or rust. If you see the owners usual lack of shock when they look at the bill I have to believe the TV show is picking some or all of the cost.

Learning the car kraft back in the day my mechanic mentor would say 13.5 to 14 at idle with headlights and blower on. 14 to 15 at idle nothing on or higher rpms with stuff on. Anything approaching 16 volts was boil the battery.

Received a lot of my Mustang and Shelby 'learning' from Tony at many of the Super Ford swap meets. Tony had so many stories and he and John would harass each other. I would not have my yellow KR if Tony's offer had been accepted.

I was at a car show Sunday near Akron, Oh and there was a Grabber Green 70 B9. Talking to the owner it is all original with 12K miles. He had that paint looking great. Has been in family a long time. Marti said 1 of 9.
