Thanks Dave! Are you able to see who the last owner was in 2009 and or the full VIN? I was going to try and track down the current owner if possible. Thanks for all the help!
Contact me at dmathews@prodigy.net  and provide your name.

We haven't heard about this car since 2009. I believe you still owned it then.

That is the good horn button. It doesn't have the fire issue.

There are 2 different versions of the FIV wheel. Each uses a different horn button. The fire issue is with the horn button that is a disc and spring. The other one uses an enclosed horn button assembly, held together with a large spring clip, like the 67 Shelby horn button. That wheel is safe.
Send me a photo of the horn button removed from the wheel to  dmathews@prodigy.net  and I can tell. I may also have a spacer sleeve for the column but need to look.

Are you Michael? Lime green GT 350 4 speed. We show that the original owner owned it until 1973. We lost track of it after that.

Dave,
In 1967 there were 821 4 speeds and 354 automatic GT 350's.

Hi Thomas,
I also have copies of all our correspondence and photos of the car when you purchased it. We went through the normal steps we go through to determine what you had. The rear Mustang clip was basically all that was left of the original car. There were some characteristics that led myself and others at the time to believe it was a clip from a Shelby.
SAAC's position, which was created over 30 years ago is we validate 1967 Shelby Mustangs from Ford Vin. chassis stampings. The front of this car no longer exists so it has no chassis stampings. SAAC does not recognize cars built from bolt on components like a transmission. If that were ever to occur, we would have all kinds of people claiming cars that no longer exist. Without chassis numbers, there is nothing further that SAAC can offer. This position was not well received.
The problem with this car is the people who were involved with it prior to Dennis altered it in an attempt to turn it into something it wasn't, most likely for the purpose of sale.
I think the car is a cool old race car and it's secrets are really in it's history as a race car. Hopefully the efforts to make it into a Shelby haven't covered up or altered any information that would relate to that.

Adjusted the steering box and replaced the brake light switch.
Dave

Did you use an NOS switch or a reproduction?  I used an NOS switch when replacing mine a few months back.  Just wondering if a old service part will last longer than a reproduction switch.
I used a reproduction from Branda. I have had this issue with one of my other cars and used the same successfully. It gets harder every year to get under the dash. Long arms and big hands don't help.

First off, great job.  Next week they'll be asking about when the 2032 registry will arrive, watch.

  Questions:
 1) On page 18 I've never noticed or heard of this before about the door window upper seal.  Does anyone (Jeff?) have photos of what this is talking about? I'd like to see it.
 2) Noticed more than a couple of cars where the text states "not built with tinted glass".  Is this just the rear fastback glass, or all of the glass?  Curious about this.

There might be more questions coming but that is all for now.
Hi Rod,
Always best to ask me in an email but here goes
1) Jeff answered but I believe JD's article a while back also mentioned it and had photos of each.
2) The cars not built with tinted glass refers to a group of air conditioned cars that should have been built with a tinted windshield and tinted side glass but did not receive it. To my knowledge all fastbacks came with tinted rear glass.
