Adjusted the steering box and replaced the brake light switch.
Dave

Did you use an NOS switch or a reproduction?  I used an NOS switch when replacing mine a few months back.  Just wondering if a old service part will last longer than a reproduction switch.
I used a reproduction from Branda. I have had this issue with one of my other cars and used the same successfully. It gets harder every year to get under the dash. Long arms and big hands don't help.

First off, great job.  Next week they'll be asking about when the 2032 registry will arrive, watch.

  Questions:
1) On page 18 I've never noticed or heard of this before about the door window upper seal.  Does anyone (Jeff?) have photos of what this is talking about? I'd like to see it.
2) Noticed more than a couple of cars where the text states "not built with tinted glass".  Is this just the rear fastback glass, or all of the glass?  Curious about this.

There might be more questions coming but that is all for now.
Hi Rod,
Always best to ask me in an email but here goes
1) Jeff answered but I believe JD's article a while back also mentioned it and had photos of each.
2) The cars not built with tinted glass refers to a group of air conditioned cars that should have been built with a tinted windshield and tinted side glass but did not receive it. To my knowledge all fastbacks came with tinted rear glass.

O.k.,but the 1967 registry dealership codes has a different dealership for #14.Kind of confusing.Book is killer though,Thanks!

Like I said, #14 on page 1312 of the 2011 Registry and previous Registries is Theodore Robins Ford in Cosa Mesa, California.

Got mine today,in perfect condition.Believe my dealer code is wrong.Anyone know what code Theodore Robins Ford in Costa Mesa Ca. should be?I don't think it's 14.....
The dealer codes we are using are the same codes we used in the previous Registries. Look at page 1312 of the 2011 Registry.

I guess there is really no tipping point... Many a COBRA-SHELBY -TIGER -FORD GT etc. have been built from a vin number or less. Many of these multi million dollar cars are known, and current owners know full well what they have, if it blows your hair back and gets you excited then no harm no foul. Some of the biggest names in the game own these cars, and they were complete wrecks or incomplete as they were found or known. Some used to POO-POO the little guy for bringing them back but now they have been called out on their rides, so all is forgiven, and we can all enjoy the hobby we all love!

case in point,  jimmies car

one more time, the pot with tea is being mixed or has been already brewed with all the correct stamping, vins, intricacies, patina, paperwork,  documentation, witnesses, history, etc. that will be untraceable

why? because an expert, master craftsmanship, member of the guild, true renaissance man will be or has been involved in bringing jimmies car back

Who is this so called "expert, master craftsmanship, member of the guild, true renaissancman?"

You don't know what you are talking about. You have no such knowledge. Just another disruptive attempt by you to change the topic and make it about you.
Lets get back to the topic at hand.

You can send your complaints to the Registrar. As it turned out the photo in the book is of your car. It just isn't the photo you wanted. We are sorry that occurred. It appears that the format of the photo you preferred was not usable.

The short version of the story is the car was sold legally to a purchaser through a bidding process. The purchaser then sold it to the present owner who is in the process of restoring the car.
