That's the beast!   Talk about stuffing 10 pounds of stuff in a 5 pound bucket, then making it look soooo good.  Oh and plenty of HP too.  8)

Pete next time u come my way to indy or our shelby meet i will take u to a OO low mile KR that u can document for your coralsnake site. I looked at this KR awhile back and its truly an unmolested car the guy inherited from his dad who was OO and hasnt been cleaned or driven  in a looooong time. That cowl sticker is in the same place and all inspection and chalk marks are still there and laying in the trunk is the front liecense plate bracket in the bag with hardware and mounting instructions not installed since indiana dont use front plates.

Wow, sounds like an amazing car and has that cowl sticker.  I look forward to photos and a full report from Pete.  ;D

Those two "white dots" could be reflections off the welds?

Look at the deep welds on opposite shock tower.

Yea, I was just making a case for the 'reflection' theory.

Seeing the BW photo from that other forum gives more credibility to the white rectangle being a sticker of some sort.

Remember from Forum 1.0 the hand written CH initials found on some cars that was tracked back to the AO Smith employee?  Something else that was only found on a random cars. Could the sticker be a random AO Smith thing?  Who knows?

Lots of bright sun and shadows in that photo.  Anyone ever see two white dots here?  ;)

We may never know.

---------Sure wish that cowl label was legible.

Not sure if that bright white square is a sticker/label or just a reflection. Never seen anything in that location any plant or year

Good point, could just be a reflection.

It is rare today to find that type of care and craftsmanship, in anything built nowadays. Fantastic! :)

Not his first build, I think he did a 1109 RWHP Thunderbird that was equally as nice.  ;)   Maybe he can share a pic of that too.

Boss on the smog pump

Gotcha. Must be a shadow and some weird lighting making it stand out.

QuoteMy next question to you was going to be what looks like a paper tag. ;D

Directly behind air cleaner and above seal for hood on cowl. Looks similar in size to Dearborn, 1969 paper tag

Odd for sure.

I didn't a battery heat shield either.

What is the dark circle on the front PS head?

Oh yea. I see the bracket now. I was distracted by the dark circle on the front of the head.

My next question to you was going to be what looks like a paper tag. ;D

Boy, the car in posts 2716 & 2717 is beautifully fabricated.

Would love to see the rest of the car.

The builder does beyond amazing work. I'm looking forward to seeing it in person.

Appears to be the Autolite carburetor and it has the idle compensator valve in the pcv hose.  That is a priceless photo

Probably a nice addition to thecoralsnake  ;)

That valve and carb were only on early cars? Looks like the smog pump has been removed?

The vacuum hose doesn't look like it's going through the special plastic clip on the shock tower.

If someone is interested do yourself a favor and have it inspected thoroughly
It goes without saying on any car.

My original post wasn't to open a dialog to critique the car, I loved the car and the story and the shed it was found in.   ;D

That being said, anyone posting a Shelby for sale on a Shelby forum has to understand questions may be asked.  If a seller doesn't want questions, post it on Craigslist....

Good luck to the seller, it's a very cool car.  8)
