Ok.  Thanks all for the replies!  Especially the extra work provided by greek z!

Just installed a solid state version from dead nuts on replacing an old amk mechanical repo.

Thanks

Awesome news!

I'm approaching the same milestone in the coming weeks on my 67 GT 350.

What is the consensus on using a mechanical vs. solid state electronic voltage regulator?  Is one more likely to leave me high and dry unexpectedly than the other or are both viable options?

Thanks in advance

Up for sale a 1967 289 Hipo alternator restored by Jim Cowles over 10 years ago.  It has the round back for 66 and early 67.  I have since purchased a teardrop version for my later 67.  Not sure if stampings are correct as I think it should be stamped C6 rather than C5.  Only used for start up/ engine break in.

SOLD!!!

Is 75 ft/lbs a good torque setting for original 10 spokes on a 67?

Thanks

Keep in mind.  NOS does not always mean assembly line correct.
