The engine bay looks great Gary!

I've heard the Avons are real sticky and handle great, but they pick up more stones and will sandblast your paint due to their stickiness.

I'm close to buying new tires as well.  When I do, I will be getting the cooper cobra radials.  They have a higher speed rating than the BFG Radials.  You could turn the raised white letters to the inside if you want to mimic the blackwall look on a KR.

Without an anti-lock brake system, installing bigger front brakes will just cause them to lock up sooner and skid faster.

I just bought a pair of brand new, Made in USA loaded calipers from Chockostang.  They are super nice and better than the used calipers that were rebuilt 15 times from the parts stores.  Came with all new hardware and banjo bolts for $160.  I would recommend getting a set of them if you need them.

I spoke to Craig at Paradise Wheels a few weeks ago.  He said the center sections are cast at Buddy Bar.

There is also Paradise Wheels at this link.   http://paradisewheels.biz/power/wheels/

How do the 69 Shelby rims from Coker (Specialty Wheels) compare against the Paradise wheels?

Probably happens all the time.  I feather the clutch on any car I am unfamiliar with the first time.   He let the clutch out way too fast.  Whoops!

I have a 2016 Mustang GT with the same shifter.

To put the car in reverse, you have to lift up on the metal ring below the shift knob in order to get to the far left reverse location.  Everyone, and I mean everyone, puts the car in 1st gear the first time you drive it and think it is in reverse because they don't know about lifting the metal ring.   If you don't see the back up camera image on the touch screen, you are not in reverse, you are in first gear.

This was a simple mistake that is easily made, and was made by myself the first several times I drove my car.

You might want to try removing, then rotating, the driveshaft to a different position.  The shop manual describes the procedure for this and proper orientation.

The size of the bearings are most important measurement.  You need to determine if you have large or small suspension on your shelby.  I believe if your spindles are C8 engineering Numbers, you have small suspension and need smaller diameter bearings.

I don't have a photo and don't have access to my diagrams but I have done this before.  This is going from memory so I may be wrong.  I think the original gauge cup for the alternator gauge had a threaded ground post on it, which is where one ground wire goes.  The other ground goes to the oil pressure gauge itself.   So you will need the original metal gauge cup(s) to ground it the way it was done at the factory.

My early car (100) has 5RS68 stamped on leaf springs.  Nothing else.

I covered this in my earlier post.

Not as thoroughly.  Nobody mentioned Eastwood product specifically.

Another option is to use Eastwood 2 stage hardened spray paint on the engine.  It is catalyzed hardened paint in a spray can with an upgraded spray nozzle.  I used it for both black and blue colors in my engine bay. Holding up well 3 years later.
