FFS, this is going round in circles , Bob you must be the most thin skinned bloke i have seen. 427 went out of his way to get his opinion across and not upset your delicate demeanour . Mate, get over your self, you are a small fish in a big pond. Since the rebirth of Forum 2.0 you would have to be the most antagonistic one here.JMHO.

How tough is it to change plugs with these? Looks like a couple of spots are real problems?

The other thing with these equal length primaries is that in the Mustang a couple of those tubes on both sides are right up against the firewall. Do you need high heat glue on your sneakers?

Like a lot of cars it is a bit tight to do plugs, i just modify tools to get it done. :o

Thanks Guys, The info i got was these are one Gentleman's cars that were heading across the Nullarbor from Adelaide to Perth (2700 klm) for the Mustang Nationals a couple of weeks ago.
I would hate to be the one who has to clean all the dust and bugs off them to show them :o

Don't see an open carry like this to often, especially in OZ, Shelbys and Bosses  heading across the Nullarbor

There's another thing to consider here. Doug's  as well as other header manufacturers were not a one-man show where one guy was sitting at one machine making headers all day long.  They were constantly evolving and getting new tubing benders that were capable of doing different things. Even on the two sets of headers I have we see the weld on the number seven port as they were not able to make that bend in that direction on the machine but also one  has two welds on one of the passenger side tubes because of a similar situation.
I don't think that necessarily means they were done at a different time. But very well could mean they were done on different machines at the same facility

Just checked, yep #7 tube has the same weld.
Got photo, what to do ... what to do...LOL
I will try later to post.....
and check passenger side

Not sure i could do it again, but i did it, post a frekin photo that is

These are the Belenger race headers that have been on the Shelby race prepped R-model engine (engine is from last batch of r-models 5R540) that has been in 6S2020 since the 60s.
sorry about poor photo, it is a photo of a photo on my old phone which i can't get off.
if it has not loaded here , go to cars for sale and look for 6S2020

It did not load....
this ongoing problem will deter many from this site.

dont use a puller no matter what .  loosen the nut ,  spray some penetrant on the shaft the day before . something good like Kroil. install the nut just enough so the bronze drift hits the shaft flush on the end and doesn't wander.  If you have a long steering shaft ,  unbolt the steering box . have someone sit in the car and apply upward pressure on the wheel spokes tight to the hub . Give the drift a good blow to the shaft and it should come off.  try not to hit the person helping you (-:

+1
Perfect, and it will come off

Excellent work Brant, feel free to delete this post , to keep focus on 933

On 2020 the yellow is more substantial right across the support. (sanded the black off to reveal)

The original yellow D is above the black.( if indeed it is a D)

drivers side "26" is under the black

pass side "DSO" is under the black

I think it's safe to say the plane is Shelby's and the '66 GT350 is not a Hertz.
The GT350 paint color could be Ivy Green (246) or Raven Black (89) in non Hertz cars. I'm guessing it is black.

Kranky,

Thanks for noting your thoughts on the Cobra being csx2085.
Without a MFG plate on the GT350, it's hard to believe it is a loaner. Maybe a friends car, if not Bob's.

Hi Rich, +1 on it being black car white side stripes non Hertz car.

also that should read 29 not 89

And take out the black cars with over the top stripes and your down to 20 odd ?

Would a company car like 6S2020 have worn MFG plates or regular lic plates?
And if regular plates were worn at SAI, would new regular plates been fitted when car sold after they closed down LAX operation?
