Here is a pic of the Cobra Weber intake with hard vacuum lines to each port.

Look like those are hose barbs. One I saw had stainless hard lines to each port. Was really interesting to see how each tube was bent to not collide with any of the others. Lots of connections that could cause a vacuum leak though.

Have seen a Weber manifold with stainless hard lines connected to a fitting drilled in each runner just below each stack. All eight lines ran to a block with a single vacuum port. Would that be adequate for power brakes? Where would PCV be plumbed to?

For cars requiring vacuum for things like brakes, will plumbing the cobra weber intake provide enough vacuum for the brakes?

Do Webers "like" higher or lower compression engines? Part 2 of the question is what constitutes hign and low compression as it relates to Webers?

What factors enter into the equation to determine proper choke on a 48IDA?

Bump.  Part number for the lower dizzy bushing is C5AZ-12132-A. Looking for 2 of them.
Still looking for NOS dizzy shaft for a C50F-12127-E (small block) dual point. Could also use NOS Points cam/reluctor. Part number C5AZ-12210-A. This is the 13L and 18L mechanical advance for a C50F-12127-E (small block) dual point.
Thanks

Earlier 65 GT350's had a Detroit Locker that was not silent.

The song "Now we are free", in the scene where the General (Maximus) dies was done by Enya. I really like her music.

Randy
If I had a single point cam sitting next to a dual point cam, what differences would I be looking for?

Thanks Dizzy
Appreciate the analogy to cam lobes. Helps me understand why the crest is there.

1965 GT350/R-Model / 65 HiPo Distributor Points Cam
« on: February 19, 2018, 03:42:15 PM »
The hipo distributor has a 8 sided cam that opens and closes the points. Understand when points are closed, the coil is building energy and when the points open, the coil discharges the energy to the appropriate spark plug. Looking at the flat spots on the points cam, the flat spot is not completely flat. It has a very slight rise in center between the high points on the lobe. Looks like the slight rise would start to open and close the points before they reach the point when they are supposed to open. Almost like pulling bow string back 3/4 of the way before it is pulled all the way back. What is the function/purpose of the slight ridge between the flat spots?
