Contacts say that registration for this year's event is running close to a normal year!!  WOW!!  So, that means lots of track time for the road course, as well as the drag strip.  It sounds like they are doing a great job of planning for contingencies and being creative so that it is a full, fun, multi-day event.  Cruise night, plus a Route 66 poker run, and the show & shine.  Lots going on.

They are continuing to update the webpage, so check it out:

Event is continuing as planned and evolving for circumstances.

Sold a nice one about seven years ago for north of $1k.  Best wishes.

We're all pulling for you.  Wonderful progress, so just take it a day at a time.
Great news!

Tim, I totally understand!  It is convenient for me to drive, but after seeing news video of human behavior over this holiday weekend I am evaluating what is worth it and what is not.

The Lounge / Re: Memorial Day

Today at 3:OO pm, go outside to see if you can hear TAPS being played in tribute.  Being done all across the country.  Play it on your instrument, if you can.

So far, NOT cancelled.  Hotel mistake.  Follow their website closely, says "planned as scheduled".

I find it interesting that the Tulsa Mid-America Ford & Shelby National meet could possibly be held this June 17-21.  It appears like it may happen, with some changes, no doubt.  I'm keeping a close eye on their website; certainly says "planned as scheduled".  Check for yourself:

The multiple-day open track at Hallett Racing Circuit is located in the countryside west of Tulsa, with ample room for social distancing (the lunch cafĂ© could be a challenge?).  The drag strip provides plenty of space for social distancing (again concessions are a question).  With proper planning and careful observation by people, the parts swap, as well as the Sunday car show could work out, as well.  Even the Thursday evening downtown cruise event seems possible due to the outdoor nature.  Of course, I would expect restaurants to have posted guidelines to follow.

I imagine any banquet or indoor social event just isn't happening.  I personally don't see how concours judging can be conducted within social distancing, but who knows?

State and community mandated guidelines indicate that hotels are open for lodging.  I'm not aware of travel restrictions.

Food for thought, huh?  It is a great event!!

From someone who had quadruple bypass (widow maker) surgery two years ago, do everything they tell you to do, then push yourself to do more.  Medical advancements are amazing, but most of the recovery is up to you.  Everything you learn in cardio rehab is the gospel.  Best wishes to you and your wife.  Looking forward to seeing you around.

Concours Talk / Re: Which ones are correct

None for 68, Kerry.  The alt gauge should be a 60 face, not 40. Keep digging.

Other car lines use that same rubber-coated type strap.  Ones I have seen simply hold both hoses together, but do not attach to anything else; (if we are talking about the same thing).

What does the 67 assembly manual show?  I know 68 uses the flex hose, which is a C8#, but have no experience with a 67; just have had the pictured NOS hose for a long time, which matches what the MPC says.

Your take-off wiring sounds like the factory correct, first issue, wiring pigtail.  The only NOS service lights that I seen with the early wiring have been in a FoMoCo striped box.  Later Ford script boxed parts will have different wiring revisions.

Your picture shows a flex hose.  I thought 67s used a rigid S hose C7ZZ-19858-C:

Received mine yesterday.  Much like when Steve Martin's character celebrated the phone books arriving.
