  As I recall, the Turbonique was a solid fuel powered item that attached to the rear axle.  Problem is, once the solid fuel was lit, the was no shut off valve.  I recall the NHRA banned it.

  Carb gasket trick:  Rub some Chapstik all over the paper type gaskets so they'll peel off next time.

  7/8/2020 The conclusion:
   Using Dan Case's numbers, I ordered a complete set from Summit, and the individual part numbers from Rock Auto.    Summit's came in a Cloyes box, R/A's in a Melling box.
  The part numbers cast into the gears - crank and cam- were the same.  And, neither crank gear is for a 289 HiPo with the front counterweight.  So, I had a very famous (in the Northwest Indiana area) machine shop take 0.150 off of the inward side of the crank gear.  AND, you also have to accurately drill a hole of 0.125 in it for the locator/drive pin.  This is a hardened gear.  You are not going to drill it with that harbor freight drill bit.
  So, every thing fits and is in alignment.
Disapointment: must be fifty years of wear on the supplier machiney as, there is between 1/4" to 3/8" of slop in the brand new chain(s).  Ford specs are no more than 1/2", so, I got to live with this.
  No further commentary or changes comming from me, its in there, and running fine.

  I call it "homogenizing".   Blending everything so its all the same.

 I just did this.  Its like 0.019/0.021 intake/exhaust.

  For instance:  Is the name of the person you bought it from in the registry?  This is how the ownership chain carrys on.

  Of course, if past history has lead us to believe:  If some well moneyed current or brand new owner has it, he can wittle any story about the car he wants too.  We are supposed to swallow it.

  The monthly SAAC notice showed up yesterday with it.  And also, the MCA sent one out.

  Well, I can tell you that I have gotten "rear veiw mirror" paranoia.  But, I got it before I got old.

  Jim Cowles in Green Bay just did one for me.  Looks nice.

  Great picture of that car, but, it is hardly "back-in-the-day".  Notice all the new stuff in the background.
    I do like the 67 Shelby style hood.

  Well, since I own a 67 GT 350, I wondering how long and where at.  And who is FMC?

  At the carb, those squeezer type clamps.  Wasn't there an issue with  the squareness or the roundness and length of the squeeze tabs?  And where to find them.
  The olive drab color shouldn't be an issue as camo paints are popular right now at the home centers.

  I'm just wondering:  when are you going to buy a service manual?

  When does the 6 headlight front end go up on auction?
