It flipped the red one over too.

And any car ordered with the tilt wheel option AKA " the T-bird option" would have the rag joint.

So, gear sets are machined in "sets".  So, you would need to know what the ratio of the used one would be, and, either have the driven gear for it, or where to get a new gear set.
Still a cool thing under the car.  I saw one 66 Shelby with a Hone-O-drive about 25+ years ago at a local Shelby club show in Elk Grove Village ILlinois.

OK, love the color.  So, what is it.  Ferrari red or is that rangoon red?  Or ???

The hard part has been making the metal underlined deck and hood (as the early built 67 is known to have).  And if the real one doesn't have it, too late now.

All good to say "leave it as it is" NOW.  But everybody here knows Mustangs...and metal.  Eventually, that car is going to get restored.  It might be ten years, might be fifty.  Otherwise we'll be looking at a pile of rust dust with 4 tires around it.

They are attractive cars, now the clones will be turned out like toilet paper......

Well, I have been working on a Tribute.  It will be the November-December 1966 version with the Magstars and angled grill, single Paxtoned 428.
I will try do the clean toilet paper version, eh?

Those TV guys were harping about the fomer owner being Huber Platt.  Well bought I'd say.

That car is stellar!   Love it.  There will be more tributes to this.  I'm in the middle of making the November-December 1966 version: Magstars, angled grill one.

I was surprised at the rather low bid on the black GT 500 formerly owned by Hubert Platt.  OK, not the original engine but an all aluminum 427. Guess some folks don't know about celebrity ownership.
Well, thats my opinion on it.

Yep, #2148 sold for $400,000 plus the fees.  It's all good!

Surprised at the vast amount of "the bid goes on" moves.  For every make.

Please put doing a rebody out of our minds.

Glad you made it happen.  Enjoy.

rbarkley: Ok, but but's template was better in that you could make the detent pattern, exact.

J Speegle: can you guess the threads.  It looks either 5/16 X 25, or 1/4 X 20.  What say you?

Old guy: it puts a little tension on the moveable part of the shift handle so you don't over-move it (to up-shift) while accelerating away from some Corvette.
