Hey Doug,
I'm sure that Jeff will respond but I'm pretty sure he was referring to the Krylon Fusion Satin Red as not even close... :)

Wanted to Buy / Re: Movable Lift
December 23, 2023, 09:24:10 PM
I've had mu Advantage lift for about 6 years and am very pleased with it. I bought the 9000 XLT which my Shelby resides on. It is extra wide, long and tall (I don't have to worry about bumping my head). If you want to move it about I recommend 120V pump. It is a little slower but you probably have 120V outlets everywhere VS 240V outlets. Backyard Buddy lifts are owned by Advantage Lifts and if they haven't changed the Backyard Buddy is quite a bit lighter built than the Advantage Lift. I have had my F250 Super Duty crew cab and my son's F350 crew cab trucks on the lift without a problem.

Appeals / Re: Paint Thickness
December 22, 2023, 12:12:58 PM
I recall reading (print or forum 1.0, I can't remember) about someone painting their car like it was done originally. He painted the unibody and then had a different batch of paint mixed and on a different day painted the fiberglass to try to achieve the look originally on his car.

QuoteNow in the case of LA assembled Shelbys, the fiberglass add on components were largely painted with acrylic lacquer and in the case of AO Smith, fiberglass components were painted with one step straight enamel with no primer.
Another thing to remember is that the paint sometimes was a shade or two off from the factory paint.  ;)

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / Re: And They Keep On Coming
December 22, 2023, 09:01:47 AM
I have 4 grandchildren ages 4, 5, 6, and 8 and they all have a Model A waiting on them.  :) I can't afford 3 more Shelbys  for them (I wish I could) so they will have to fight over the Shelby...  ;)  ;D

You need to be into Model A's and you will see a lot more folks dying off.  :(

The early fax machines communicated the same way. ;) I'm thinking the
"telecopier" may just be another name for fax machine.  :)

Looks more like a '32 than an "A"... :)

Another possibility is zero...You have to take in consideration if you can afford to lose $450,000. Hopefully you will make big $$$, but you never know what is around the corner.  :)

Good luck
