Well I have to admit I have a coupe and might raise my hand for some coolness to be bolted onto my car. If their is interest there will be a market for it.

Another BJ in the books... Had a great time meeting up with old friends and meeting a few new ones, including our own ''Special Ed". I wont reference that anymore, but it was great exchanging automotive pleasantries, and kind words about Sleeping Beauty. Hope all had a great time and have a safe trip back to many of those frozen locales. Until next time be safe and enjoy your rides! :)

I think we are ALL missing something, The things that make the most ICONIC engineering cars special, were NOT outlined or displayed to show what makes them special. If you own the most powerful car of its time or the most advanced suspension of its time wouldn't you want to show that? This isn't little league, a small fortune was probably spent on them. Show their special traits that's what makes them what they are. The hoods were down the rear end could not be seen so I and many were disappointed we could not see these items up close and personal. The show was first class though, had a great time, if you have never been get here! ;)

Thanks Pete for the heads up on the vehicles, I know you were involved in bringing them back from the dead and you have vested interest in the cars. I went back to the display multiple times to see if anything changed with the people or how the cars were presented and it didn't change. The hoards of people that floated by the display didn't really know or care about the vintage cars, what they were looking at were the newer cars internal workings and what a new 7 speed TREMEC transmission looks like internally or what the bottom of a new SHELBY GT mustang looks like. Jason deserves props for truly creating some masterpieces they were stunning in appearance. I lingered around to here what the people were saying about the stunning GREEN and RED coupes and the answer was similar, Nice looking FAKE SHELBYS :-[ That was a downer.

I inquired a few times on here as well as in person yesterday at their display booth regarding the performance aspects of both cars. No one really seems to care or make the performance aspect of these cars a priority or really understand anything about them. The hoods were closed, they looked stunning in their static display but nothing about their back grounds, both young and old display people couldn't answer the most basic questions probably more security then anything, hired by the BJ crew. Prices seemed to be on an upswing, people were digging the positive vibe of the show. Good times :)

Also whos got the mounting plate and brackets to mount both blowers at an affordable, not one off price. Heard about cost of the hardware and stopped dreaming. Maybe now, or is VOGT the only one with the plate?

So where did the "appraised value" come from?  They should be embarrassed.
MAYBE POOKIE-

For four hundred thooousand dollars I would have expected at least a serious engine under the hood, not a stock 302 with a plug wire removed, and the timing seriously retarded. Strange times-

That story is like trying to tie Top Gun Fighter School training with a Cessna, maybe they were at the same facility at some point but that aint no top gun candidate. The more he says SHELBY with the long story line, equates to a major distraction of just representing this car... sad really, cute little car.

The SCOTTSDALE party has begun.. Going to try and get there for some of the activities... Don't want to be tardy to this party, World record prices are in the air, we shall see. ;)

This is one of the biggest raging questions the collector car market has to deal with... What is a good price. The only true answer is what someone's tolerance of things are. Petes outline is a good starting point, but from there it is like an octopus that branches out in many different directions. Cars are like people we all like something different and that's what keeps things interesting. Some have skills that will let them replace, repair, or restore cars, this is a consideration for many when purchasing a car. If you fall into a different category you just want to own a car with out touching it you will pay a premium price for that skill set. Different colors, options , condition, provenance all enter into the purchase price. If I found a lime green automatic SHELBY I would paint it any other color of the rainbow and add a 4 speed... Why? Because I feel that would be an upgrade, not original but a better driving experience. Have someone on here inspect it for you like BOB or JEFF they will tell you the good bad and the ugly this will let you make an educated decision on what you might or should pay for something, if the price point is a little different you decide no big deal really just buy one and enjoy it  to the best of your ability.  :)

I used a company named tubular automotive for my Boss 302 and 351 c powered 65-66  race cars with stock engine bays. These headers fit nicely without any modifications and were individual tubes that needed to fit sequentially... Don try to install out of order or it gets FU--ED UP fast, trust me. They make custom application headers, I don't know if they are still in business but they were really nice headers. ;)
