The big 5 is where the action is..... The others don't count for much, too many trying to get in on the auction action. ;)

All eyes are looking to get in their planes, trains, and automobiles to head to the big GO WEST where world record prices seem to happen every year at the big 5 auctions in SCOTTSDALE AZ. B J auctions leading the way, there is a buzz in the air, hope to see a few there. ;D

I think when people understand that they can get something similar ... Boss hogs Black fastback for the low 20s they might stay in that price range because its a beat up movie car. ;D I don't always drink beer but when I do its dos equis so 1 case of beer added to the cost.

The Lounge / Re: KIWI Website - RIP John Kiewicz

In loving memory of a man and friend who lived life to the fullest, wasn't afraid to say what was on his mind and take it to the limits. The conversations we had about life, people, sprinkled with a little lively banter is dearly missed. Love ya man...  :'(

Rick buy it and enjoy it, if you don't someone else will. I especially love to find what you just crossed paths with its a perfect candidate for a redo. The debate continues to rage about do auctions set pricing on cars. They certainly do, that's why most real car people cant get enough of them. The greatest car collectors in the world cant wait for the auctions to find that elusive prize, or the guy that has a beer budget and champagne dreams theres something for everyone. No armchair quarterbacking experts, no Kelly blue book valuations, or even the automotive bible  HEMMINGS cant compare when the auctions begin. It is a crazy circus but that's where we go for Cobras to lambos to well VW micro buses you never know whats going to show up! :)

Sounds like a great time, but the Auction capital of the world... is Arizona in January. Probably be there to witness the circus.

Don't condemn the person, his car, his price, what he likes to do, no politics, and don't make anything personal unless asked for... Happy New Year! :)

I agree with you on this one Doug... For starters he is not asking any ones opinion of what they think it is worth. There are a few on here that have an incessant desire to share their opinions of what someone should sell their stuff for. Then when the table is turned they are completely offended when people make comments about them and their stuff. The other thing that gets asked regularly is when someone is looking for an item... What is your budget? People will be interested if the right car or part comes along ;) No one is asking their fellow SHELBY ENTHUSIASTS to be their personal banker for automotive purchases.

Up For Auction / Re: Autolite Cabinet on CL - Reading, PA

That cabinet sat in the corner of my shop for over 30 years glad to see its still around. :) It definitely has a Cobra- Shelby - Tiger- Pantera connection. Many a job contract was written on it, and many a little item like carb and distributor parts were pulled from in it. Sold it on ebay about 10 years ago.
