Don't know the car, the Auction house is not the most prestigious in AU and details lacking in the description

showing off, adding mine

65 FB (new to me, no real "action yet, a very novice driver that is learning as he goes  ;). My theory is that this is a cheaper to play with than the Shelby

And my non Mustang, this is a hand built car (chassis, body etc) and runs a nice flathead V8. Was build for the 1951 Australian Grand Prix, sadly the builder/owner/driver committed suicide 6 months after the race (in serious debt after funding the build), car was lost for many years but now back home (only a few miles from where it was made)

cheers

OK, not my Shelby, but a few years ago in a nice 66 coupe

My wife was picking me up from the Airport, asked her to bring the mustang as is was a warm night and the ride home was a good run.

Car is original (LHD), we are in Australia (RHD is the norm), I had a few wines under my belt so I was passenger

Up ahead is a roadside "breath testing" stop, whole road being check by the boys in blue. As we pull in the officer leans into my side, conversation went something like;

O - Good evening sir, this is a random breath test.......................
M - Mate, I am not driving
O - Sir, you are required by law to give a sample of your breath ...................
M - Look, there is no steering wheel
O - "blank look"
O - go, go

He told us to leave, rest of the police in the line were having a good old chuckle, he was very embarrassed (to this day I wish I had blown to see what would have happened :))

15's is limited in choice - but thought you could still get the BFG's (https://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?zip-code=23433&width=225/&ratio=60&diameter=15&rearWidth=255/&rearRatio=40&rearDiameter=17), have these on mine

for my clone,  225/60R15 Yokohama A032R, Wanted the higher profile and the car does not really see street work (in fact, would recommend you stay away from any R tyres on a Shelby, they through up too much road rubbish)

2006-up Shelby GT/GT-H / Re: POST YOUR GT / GTH

here are mine (the 2016 is a clone, we don't get them down under)

agree with above, common sense would dictate that colour ideally equals original (just based on what most people would want)

Mine was originally Ivy but was painted black in the 80's - love the black/gold but eventually she will need to go under the knife and back to original
