Somebody linked this to a BaT auction discussion but I thought it would be appropriate to link here as well;

Michael,
Did it still have the live Cobra living in the engine bay when you saw it?

Dumb question: How do the feds find out? I have yet to sell a car for a profit, but it could happen some day. Do states report sales tax to the feds or is it the banks reporting large transactions?

The one that Drake sells in ether black or chrome is the the 70's style cap with a hole and not the closed emission cap like 67 thermactor cars used. FYI the one's used on 67's typically were plain and not marked with Autolite .Quote from: Side-Oilers on April 22, 2021, 12:18:28 AMQuote from: 2112 on April 22, 2021, 12:05:05 AM
Impressive that a pristine Autolite cookie cutter valve cover cap has been drilled for a PCV connection.
It's not NOS.
Drake, I think. I like the look of it better than a bunch of other options on the market. Plus it says "Autolite" Cool
I had no idea Drake made them. It looks good. Kudos to the machinist who cut the hole without fubarring it.
I bought two real NOS caps. Don't ask how much.

I had the car also for 7 years. What sucks is that other vehicles I owned at the time if I sold they wouldn't offset my gains. Vehicles are vehicles but not in the eyes of Uncle Sam.
Sold for $203,000. How would you do your Taxes on that? Can you write anything off? What would the IRS get?
