They built only a couple hundred of those full size 2 door wagons.
Rare find today.

The short number is R-1-A.
Precedes the FL-1.
Should fit many Fords.

Ford solenoids need voltage to engage & to disengage.
Low voltage is probably the problem.

The drivers door glass in my 1992 F150 fell down a couple weeks ago.
Repaired it with some Flex Tape, as seen on TV.  Just cut a strip, put it
in the channel on top of bracket, pushed glass in, worked out OK. Just like on TV.

I found my old books.
5J27A decodes to a 1965 Ranchero 289-4V built in California I think.

I think the VIN he provides is for a 1965 Mercury with a 289-4V.

In Michigan; the manufacturers' plate do not necessarily have to be for one of the auto manufacturers.
It could be for anyone in the auto supply business.
Suppliers such as Hurst, Firestone, Goodyear, etc.

At the Mecum Auction this was the very next lot after "Bullitt".
All the air went out of the room after "Bullitt", and it did not sell.

It is a Ford Styling Exercise.
1966 car with 65 wheels, 65 grille, some Cougar interior pieces.
Car has two oil pressure gauges in the dash.

It belongs to the Ford dealer in Grand Ledge Michigan.
He bought it from the European seller as "The Bid Goes On".

Gary;
Check with Jeff James up by Frankenmuth, or Nyle Wing in Ionia.

That is a much more recent Mopar relay

When removing the console on a 1968; be CERTAIN to unhook the battery first.

I wanted to obtain another cover last fall.
Already have a couple tan Covercraft C50001 "Wolf" covers in use.

Learned that Covercraft was only making facemasks last year. :(

Found a new one in box on EBAY for a small fraction of the usual cost. :)
