1965 GT350/R-Model / Re: Share your 65 Photos

This famous 65 LAX photo shows many cars with serial numbers shown on paper attached
to the windshield. Dave McDonald sent me this picture with great resolution so I was able
to identify quite many cars:
Front row: From left to right 5S290, 5S283, 5S276, 5S275 (my car), 5S273
Second row: From left to right 5S285, can't tell car with Le Mans stripes, 5S233, 5S228.

Any of you guys know which material the original crimps were made of, aluminum, copper or
bronze? I believe the reproductions are made of aluminum.

Wanted to Buy / Re: Radiator recore
February 09, 2018, 06:45:49 AM
Here in the Dallas, TX area, I had my G2. C4ZE, W-MO. 3-65 dated radiator re-cored by
a local shop. Bought the core with the top tank attached and Bill's Radiators and Mufflers
put the original top cover and bottom on to the new core. Regret this as the top tank isn't exactly the same
as the original. A year later I took my friend's G2 dated 2-65 to Bill and to my surprise he
couldn't get the cores with top tank anymore. However, he knew a company that could make the fin part of the core to exact specifications and then he took the complete top tank and bottom and soldered them onto the new fin part. Looks exactly like the original but was much more expensive.
Don't know if Bill can do this still.

Here is a picture of 6S923 owned by my friend Roland in Sweden. As you can see the front
turn signal glass is white instead of amber. Swedish law says parking light must be white.
Also, I used to co-own this car until 1988. Originally owned by Claude Dubois in Belgium.
Claude removed the under-ride traction bars and put in a panhard rod. Today the car has both.
