Looking for a 1967 Magstar. Reproduction or original, as long as decent shape. Not looking for perfect, but good driver condition. What do you have? Thanks

Does the call out on a Marti Report of "Heavy Duty Battery" option for a '69 Shelby GT 350 mean the car came with a Group 27 battery? Thanks.

Since the other Autolite battery thread was locked (Why?), I thought I would add my experience. I ordered from Jegs (Free Shipping!). Turbo Start paper work is in the box. No damage upon arrival, but the plastic bag the battery was in contained fluid and the shipping box was wet. I called Jegs (on hold for 30+ minutes) and they said they would send another, but they were not in stock so it would be awhile. I said no, just refund and send a call tag for the return battery. Jegs said keep the battery and they would credit me in 3-5 business days. Sounds like manufacturing has not quite got a good quality process yet, and Jegs seemed to know this is an issue.

I am replacing the repo tach in my car with an original. I need an original bracket to hold the tach in the pod, or a print/sketch so I can make one. Let me know if you know of a source. Thanks.

1965 GT350/R-Model / '65 Tach Testing
August 31, 2019, 03:12:06 PM
I have an original 1965 tach that I want to test before I reinstall it in my car as I'm not sure it works. What's the easiest way....hook up the coil wire and a positive wire, along with grounding the case, and starting car? Do I need all three hookups (coil, +, and ground) or can I just do a subset of those. Thanks.

My C3 starter nose is the long one for an automatic, but I would like to replace with a correct 4 speed short nose starter. I'll take an entire starter, or just the nose cone. Thanks. rthompson@alvarezandmarsal.com

I have started shopping for a daily driver. I've decided to keep my old 7.3 Super Duty instead of getting a new one, and get a coupe. I'm leaning towards an Infiniti Q60 red sport coupe. I may wait to see what the new GT 500s are going to sell for, but ADMs will probably kill it for me. Not sure I want a GT 350. Audi RS5 coupe is too expensive. A Mustang GT with track pak? I'm ok with used. Even thought about a Nissan GTR. Since we have a thread on what other car you would get besides your daily driver, I thought you could help me think about options for a daily driver, foreign or domestic....

Cowden was a friend to veterans and SAAC members with his P51 Mustang. He "lent" me his plane for 2 hours to photograph it with our cars. God speed, Cowden
