There's usually another clip at the bellhousing and I have also seen a J-clip above and to the right of the switch... goes on the same bolt that attaches the vent tube.

Without these 2 additional clips, likely going to burn up the wiring on the headers/exhaust.

SAAC Forum Discussion Area / Clutch rebuilders

Could have sworn there was a discussion recently about clutches and someone mentioning a place (in Texas?) that can rebuild original clutch discs and pressure plates?

Any recommendations?  For a '65 GT350.  I have an original pressure plate and disc.

There is a minimum amount that if you sell over it, they are required to send the 1099. I THINK the amount is $1,500?

It's $600 and not just eBay.  If there are more than $600 received in 'merchandise/goods' payments with like Venmo, Paypal... they will also issue 1099.  That's why so many sellers only want to accept 'friends and family' as payment... which unfortunately gives no protection to the buyer.  I only do this type of payment for those that I know personally.  Zelle is a bank to bank cash app, with no reporting, but no protection with Zelle either as there are no 'take-backs' once the funds are sent.

Maybe oven cleaner, like used to remove paint from fiberglass fastback interior panels?

Checking to see if anyone is close to Simcoe, Ontario that might be able to help with the parts purchase.

No longer needed, seller backed out.

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Re: hipo alt. pulley

I think that it would only be prudent for a owner/restorer to document in pictures to justify if a odd variation like the Blue pulley or fan should be incorporated into a restoration for THAT specific car. That way a judging team can make a determination if it is valid for that car or not. Just because something is found on a given year car somewhere does not mean it is appropriate for every car of the year. In the past some of these odd things have been left off of judging sheets to minimize confusion and proliferation of a given detail that may only be valid for a very small number of specific cars.

+1.  It's an obscure detail that doesn't merit any additional credit, if anything, the blue alternator fans and non-K blue pulley's create confusion for the unfamiliar.  Even finding a blue fan is not a 100% guarantee it's original to a specific car.  If an owner/restorer are confident in the originality of this detail on a car, then with credible proof, it should be acceptable.  The date span I've observed for this is around May '65 through early '66 production... Jeff S has more examples than I do, don't remember when the latest production period they were used.

Will do. Wasn’t sure if they had that one. I saw the lighter color.

Thanks Pete.

Will be the darker one.

Thanks for the pic & sounds like they crashed 3 cars all together in the one incident .

Saw some additional pics on facebook.  Looks like the Camaro remote-started and ran into the back of the Shelby and pushed it into the Corvette.

I remember hearing that drums could be re-sleeved, like an engine cylinder.

Looks like this place does them?  https://www.jgrelining.com/
