I am rebuilding 6s689 as we speak, from being off the road for 50 years. I think about it all the time. Got my first one in 1981, 6s1855. Then my second,6s1297. Then my third 6s731. I only have 6s689 now though. When I see Shelby mustangs 1965-1970 my heart jumps a little. No other car has had an impact on my life.
I am totally with you. I consider myself extremely lucky to have one.  Never far from my thoughts and thoughts can come at an instant and are easy to conjure before one moves on to something else during their daily activities.

What?  Lamborghini?  Huh?  The push toward electric is baffling to me as electric is not as green as those with green megaphones would have us believe.  I persist that hydrogen will eventually win the day.  [Battery?] Electric will run its course and when we run out of the needed materials that power EVs, then begins the transition to hydrogen power.  Who knows though...

And - the other question (the elephant in the room?) remains - how is enough green/renewable/clean power going to be generated to supply ALL transportation (yeah, what about all of those 18-wheelers carrying everything), ALL heating/cooling, ALL manufacturing, etc, etc????? We'll leave the ships, planes, and trains out of it for now.
Precisely.

I listened to the first line about the doctor pronouncing you dead. Then I figured it was about Aaron Rogers and shut it off.
Well that's one answer as my former tax law professor used to say.

This one was rather tough on me to write.  It's dark.

Legal issues, legal issues,  Harriet Tubman just called she's going after you for using the title  " the underground highway " said it to similar to something she used in the past.....

Banged this one out between fretting over legal issues, pleadings et seq.

I may not be far from the asylum.  Though not today.
Short answer:
Book titles are among the list of things that can't be copyrighted. Titles aren't considered intellectual property but are only "short phrases," which are not eligible to be copyrighted.

So Ms. Tubman can file her suit.  And when she loses, I will file my own suit against her estate for malicious prosecution and for filing frivolous pleadings.

Intellectual curiosity drives me to ask what percentage your Shelby(s) or other amazing cars occupy one's thoughts throughout any given day.  I think about mine every day.  Not all the time every day but they are there and come up without a moment's notice.  Then it gives me an added kick to do or complete whatever it is that I am doing.

I suppose everyday since I got my first one in 1972. It varies though between love and hate. I don't think of it as a living thing though. It's just a machine.

Not as radical as the "Hot tub time machine" but a time machine of sorts none the less.

I'm wondering if "the watchers" are fascinated by this entire phenomenon? It is rather inexplicable.
True that the Shelby, or any automobile for that matter, is not a living thing, though I submit that it is a creation of the living and behaves as if alive in every way.  It even looks alive, does it not?  The headlights like shark's eyes, the wheels, all four of them like the appendages of a human or a hound, the gasoline that it drinks much like the liquid consumed by all that is living, the refreshment of water being the only difference to stay alive.  It is alive in ways that we do not understand, perhaps.

No but perhaps you live vicariously through it? Many human creations seem to harbor human traits. Buildings, art objects, film, music. It's the signature of their creators and can be very powerful mediums.
I would agree.  That sums it up.
