Where's the snow?

Contract law:

The general rule of contract law:  All ambiguities are construed against the drafter of the instrument.

Outcome:  If the court chooses to follow this maxim, then Ford loses.

Competing rule of contract law:  If there are ambiguities, some courts will disregard the parol evidence (a rule that excludes evidence of details before final contract formation) and allow extrinsic evidence in to show the intent of the parties though it was not reduced to a writing.  In essence, the court will look outside the four corners of the contract and allow extrinsic evidence in to determine the intent of the parties.

Outcome: Ford may win.

Damages: Court may award Ford compensatory damages depending on how the complaint is drafted.  And therefore may get the profit from the sale.

Cena can assert the affirmative defense that the language is boilerplate and therefore will not be given force and effect and further that it interferes with the freedom to contract.

Disloyal. Ford is not only a brand, they are a living, breathing family. If I promised Ford not to flip the car for two years I would not flip it. Besides, I'd rather live in a cardboard box than flip that car anyway.

I've never seen one with pins and I have seen quite a few.  But that does not discount aberrations from the factory.

Car show. February 10th? L oh L oh L oh L!!!!  February car show.  Dreamy.  We're getting up to one foot of snow in the next 24 hours in Chicago.  Why oh why am I here??  In any event enjoy the show and get pictures so I can imagine your meteorological wonderland.

All good advice everyone.  I am going to look into the Wolfgang products.  Thank you!  And orange peel, BGlover67  LOL!  I had to check peel versus peal incidentally.  Peal meaning a loud sound like a peal of thunder.  We got it right.

I've recently viewed the rinseless car wash procedure on YouTube particularly involving a 65 G.T. 350 and wondered if anyone here has an opinion on its viability as an effective means of cleaning the paintwork without getting water in crevices and cracks where it would best be left dry. I am suitably intrigued by the procedure.

Not no noob.  Hey wait, that was a double negative.  Sigh...

For the record, it was never my intent to question the veracity of this car, but rather to show with amusement what some people do as a temporary (hopefully) solution to holding a vin tag in place. Maybe it was an old photo and the owner got tired of removing the rivet to compare the Ford vin. I also remember distinctly from an old magazine that someone attached a snowplow shovel to the front end of a 66 Hertz.
