It seams pretty warm, almost too hot to touch. Not much of an expert on electrical but a little little embarrassing to pop your hood locks and use a screw driver to start your car

The solenoid on my tilt steering gets hot, does this indicate it is bad or could the relay have a role in this issue? I tested based on Pete's web page and it clicks indicating it still works.

Are the wood handles used only on late 68 shelbys (KRs)? Black handles for early 68 shelbys?

I had an incident where my grill trim was bent. I am trying to determine if the trim is original or re-pop. If it is original, does anyone know who can massage the bent trim piece back to its original configuration?

Tim, that describes the shape well.
I was trying to find a replacement that looked original. I could not find one. The other option was to drill the rivets out, replace the rubber joint and bolt the halves back together. The bolt option does not look original, I am trying to stick to that theme.

Yes its tilt Bob, spline on one end and notched on the other side for the tilt column shaft. Mine looks good, but is old and I would like to eliminate any slop in the system.
Does anyone restore these with rivets? I would like to keep it stock appearance. All the kits I find use bolts to replace the rivets....
