I use a similar tactic. I battle them pesky moles with stale 2 stroke boat fuel. They think its icky.

A bit slow on the retort, I was losing faith and somewhat hopeful.

Depends on the application. Flat tappet camshafts need it for lobe to lifter contact. Modern roller lifter/ rocker arm cams not so much. Apparently, the zinc and manganese in the oil was shortening catalyst life in newer cars. Synthetic or not in your case best to have it.

Just to summarize, Tony is a devout promoter of Chevrolet and Mobile 1. When he discloses his favorite prophylactic then we will have a trifecta trash file. Here it comes, watch for it.

There are several similar products as Mobile 1. What I am comparing to is that product group to stand alone additive that may not be as effective. Chemical content levels and price per unit is a different subject.

Some information I have read /viewed suggested that an additive didn't work as well as an oil with an integral chemical package. Maybe this could be a battle for market share I can't be certain. I just use Brad Penn oil and it makes life easier, my cars are happy.

I was told by a coworker that if he caught me driving in the snow with my 350 he would beat the crap out of me.

The abbreviated answer from Tony is "NO'. His exhaustive search has revealed an awful truth and calling people old wont make it better.

If memory serves me SA and FORD both won in prototype in the past Lemans 24hr. Today this would be the LMH class. Has Chevrolet ever been the overall winner there?

Just an FYI, When Tony says he loves me I presume it's not sexual and just a figure of speech. I don't know his leanings and its OK either way. I'm personally not on the pink team.

That was just constructive advice Tony. Your preference for an alternative product line prompted me to suggest a path toward your goal.

Tony, I think you should buy a new vette, cruise around wearing a hula shirt, gold chains, and cheap sunglasses and tell everyone how superior Chevrolet is. Why you will probably have more panties thrown at you than Tom Jones.

Strange that the snow is only on the tires. I guess it doesn't stick well to black paint and or wax.
