Sneak one of those "Friends don't let friends drive Chevys", bumper stickers on his bowtie. The verbal shellacking could be epic.

Hot wheels were my thing. Launching them out of the power fuel station sometimes they would embed in the drywall.

I believe that was put on hold after the classic car tax debacle/ farse. Rick was too much in this world after that one.

Wasn't that 3x2 setup a POS to keep in tune. More eye candy than a hp gain, 435 vs 425 for a single 4bbl.

A smart play that added to Chevys revenue and simultaneously skirted liability issues I'm guessing. The valuation for a complete original assembly would off the scale most likely.

Let's be thankful that reproduction tags appear so and hopefully remain that way. Stamp that repop silkscreened version and live with it.

Was that Winters cross ram setup in the trunk when ordered, not installed.

I Wouldn't be surprised if Granholm gets a pay raise with this news.

I can see that, seems a little off and the top of the Y is pointed not flat.

The only issue I had with my ammeter is it was dead when I bought the car and replaced it with a ford service unit. I would load test the charging system with a SUN tester or equivalent. A few of the other mustang forums traced similar issues to the regulator on the firewall.

I would probably start by checking the wiring connections at the starter relay and at the alternator. The wiring can get brittle over time.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe a replacement unit could be scavenged to renew the original. Has anyone out there been there done that?

If you do end up pulling the sender out let us know your findings.

First check the connections at the back of fuel gauge and at the fuel sender. Make sure the ground is good at sending unit. If OK, I would inspect the sender to see if the wiper contact is worn out. You can put an ohm meter on the wire connection and move the float arm while observing any erratic nonlinear readings on a sweep test. Usually, the wiper arm fails a visual inspection.
