lot of $ for a car with a bunch of dented up chrome, mis fitting parts, non original color, (way to far off to even be a variant) mis matches interior parts, no radio knobs, and an ugly color combo. just my thoughts, but i'd still like to have one. phred

most likely acrylic enamel with catalyst or urethane. there is no "testing" all in or nothing. be prepared if you have no experience. could be jumping into a 10k investment. is it worth it for that car? there is no in-between paint jobs one it has one put on. good luck. phred

we used to have one for years at our dealership, but it was a flathead! phred

you might try going to harbor freight and getting a set of their door panel tools. they are plastic and work good for not chewing up everything. for the plug, try warming it up with a heat gun first, for location of clips, find an old 67 door panel and match up. phred

as above, we used a hole punch then a 1 1/8 hole saw with a 5/16 starter hole. some of us used a little touch up paint around the hole to prevent rusting. phred

mca judging means nothing more than earl scheib painted it the correct color (according to whatever you put on your door tag, could even be a gm color (yes, I've seen that on a mca presidents "gold"car)) phred

depends if you are buying or selling. "if you have to ask, you can't afford" buy it for the fun. phred

as far as those cracks go, why not just replace it? even a repop has to be better. phred

when I bought my 1st Shelby, no one even knew what it was, and I didn't care what it was, other than transportation. that was back in the early 70's. still got it, still sits in the garage. I suppose when I sell it, retirement will be easier. phred

self healing body panels on the 70 ford, the sturdiest rear bumper ever on an early mustang along with self peeling stripes, AND carroll Shelby driving a Plymouth! phred
