Was the Ford window sticker displayed along side the SA sticker?

Time for another FB group 😂. Like there aren't enough already

"66 Shelby Hertz cars with correct side stripes"

Ray

Ps.  Also, here is another piece of "extraordinary proof" to carry in my trunk bag to support my extraordinary claim. 🤓

Thanks for clarifying.  Here is a promo pic to consider

Bob , Do you have a part number for the rebuild kits that are on back order?
Is it fair to assume you talked to MICO or perhaps another vendor? My MICO is working, but always interested in a spare kit when they become available.

Thanks Ray

I have seen these stripes applied both ways. The registry directions and directions that came with the stripes suggest pic 1 is correct.  Pic 2 is common. Judges which is correct for early Hertz car?? click on each pic to see difference

Terry Grandt (Hertz Donut) has same issue.

You guys might get together and compare notes. Terry has actively been working on the MICO kit issue.

Continuous just like factory. I did my own masking and painting the centers but that option is offered. My wheels came back from CalChrome and looked fabulous.
Their packaging was incredible and communication tops. I was starved for a good experience after dealing with another wheel restorer.  I get the idea that CalChrome may be family owed. John is the guy I dealt with. He clocked all the centers equal to the valve stems and back space was dead on. Looked to be set digitally in a promo video I saw.

Wanted to Buy / Re: MICO repair kit wanted

Terry
Are you saying that the kit is still being produced but just can't find one in stock??

I was first under the impression that they were out of production and you needed to find an NOS on some dusty shelf.

Here is a link you may have seen. They seem to indicate they can order if you wait.

Good luck Terry

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Re: 1966 Shelby prices

2292- day 2 car in several regards looking at the pics. Brought a good price it appears. Notice the pic of the "floor plan specific" invoice that is quite different.

Also Louis, as a tip, if you have an after thought or another question you can go to your original post to edit just by clicking "Modify" just at top of your post and then click "save" at the bottom of original post rather than start a new thread.

welcome

Hertz were all chrome. Other 66 Shelbys were painted or chrome.

Looks like a t-10 rods to me.I think toploader and t-10 shifter box is the same. If no one chimes in I will dig out some pics of what I have or google it.  Tons of clear pics to view.

Quick drying semi gloss and a fine brush. Krylon satin or semi gloss comes to mind. Spray some into the cap and get to dabbing. Best result is to get them in one dab so no build up is evident.

Originals are brittle. I would resist changing rivets if you can. Snapping in new rivets could cause the rivet hole area to chip out.
