It should be a top oiler with 4 bolt mains. C3AE-6015-AB is the part number.

Here is a pic of a broken one with the HP markings  http://www.mustangtek.com/block/C3AE-6015-AB.html

list of blocks https://www.fordification.com/tech/castingnumbers-FEblock.htm

63 R Code - specific parts http://427galaxieregistry.com/1963modelyear.html

There is no C8AE with a AB listed - The C8AE-A is a 427 side oiler. The photo on the Hemmings page looks to be the right engine block. Someone could figure out from the casting date if it's right for the car. There was probably a longer time from casting to installation of these engines since so few were sold.

I'd be going for that vintage sleeper street racer look.

Vintage Casler Slicks are rarer than old GoodYears - https://www.ebay.com/itm/144063534525

Quote from: crossboss on April 14, 2022, 01:42:29 PM..... The 'better' car was what Saleen did.

Saleen always out styled Ford. Their current nose is said to be 4" longer than stock and that was the thing that made you scratch your head and say it's better but how?
If any of you missed the chance to lose money on the Shelby stock offering you can now dive into Saleen ownership for only $1 per share. Just stay away from the pitfalls on page 6. https://saleen.issuance.com/dl/Saleen_OfferingCircular.pdf

I vote that it is a Kirkham. It could also have the $20,000 CSX VIN tag option.

Remember it's not a "race". It's performance driving with your car on a track. Make sure the wheels won't fall off and go play.

Do your own tech before you arrive

The new 2 door Explorer - I see it has the fit and finish we've come to expect from Ford.

WAIT! FORD IS MAKING A 2 DOOR EXPLORER AGAIN?????? I WANT IT!!!

Yes but it will have Mustang emblems on it. It's evolution like when the Falcon became a Mustang and then the Pinto followed by the Fairmont - today Ford has no car platforms to adapt so you'll be getting an Exploder chassis that has only ever had a V6 in it. I predict a Hybrid EcoBoost V6 with about 450 HP will be the top of the line. If you want a V8 buy now all the manufacturers are downgrading.

Just checked on the Daytona watch, it's in sale for $194,899 and they are offering a voucher for anit her $ 15 dollar's off

I've got one of the good hard to tell knockoffs - even the second hand moves right. During the ammo shortage a couple years ago I swapped 3 bricks of .22LR for it. The ammo cost me less than $20 when I bought it so I figured why not.

I bet a $55K cash offer would make it yours.
I bet it would result in a click and your number being blocked.

Click - BUY IT NOW            I doubt you will find a better deal. I wouldn't bother dickering on the price.

I have been looking at a restored 66. http://427galaxieregistry.com/RD66RCodeCustom.html  I fear it's a rebody since it hasn't sold yet and the guy is being cagey on what has been replaced frame/body wise. Also the modified by/at Ford doesn't seem like something they would do.

There is a 427 Galaxie registry - http://427galaxieregistry.com/

Chevy powered kit?? side view maybe shows rear sump oil pan. Cobras were pretty flat in side view. The rear wheels look a little sparse on wires too. It looks like the back edge  of the rear wheel is too far out

The guy who did Alvin & the Chipmunks had a 289 with that type flare.

Put a sheet of wet/dry sandpaper on flat surface and sand straight in one direction. Keep flushed with clean water. If the pits are deep you can start with a coarse paper and work up to finer to get the original finish.
You can use a sanding block but it's easier to move the emblem on the sand paper. If you use steel wool or sandpaper without a block you risk rounding off the edges of the emblem/lettering and ending up with a wavy surface. Also the steel wool will leave little specks of steel embedded in the surface and they will rust. Sharpening stones are much finer than sandpaper and will not remove much material. They will need to have an ample amount of oil used to keep the soft material from clogging them and causing gouges in your surface.

Wanted to Buy / Re: 1966 Jack

Found this ID article. I've probably got 6+ in the garage. I don't ever think I sold a car with one. I also need to dig out my 70 compact spare with the air can. I've heard those have gotten pricey.
