Harley-Davidson CEO Jochen Zeitz announced that the motorcycle manufacturer plans to move away from its large displacement internal combustion engines and convert to all-electric motorcycles.

However, Zeitz said that the transition would take decades and that he does not anticipate Harley deserting gasoline in the near future. Harley, which was founded 120 years ago in Milwaukee, will make efforts to broaden its customer base as the company moves to 100% electric. Zeitz said this would include focusing on the brand's apparel and accessories.

Harley launched its first electric motorcycle, the LiveWire One, in 2018. The bike provides 146 miles of city range, 95 miles of combined stop-and-go and highway range, and has a starting price of $29,799. The company will look to expand LiveWire with the S2 Del Mar. Harley said the S2 Del Mar will be designed for urban riding, possess an expected city range of 110 miles, and offer 184 foot-pounds of torque.

I'm a thrifty and frugal guy - OK cheap. I'll be planting far fewer trees to offset the carbon footprint of my ICE car than an EV - I'm sticking with gas. For cooking too.

BTW: I also hate that SAAC is using this same 3rd party for convention registration.

20K over sticker. auto. No thanks.

They call it "limited production value". I guess they are saying we'd like some of its future rarity value you may glean if you put it away and don't drive it for 10 years.

Color looks more like the 1966 Silver Blue.

Chevrolet Commercial White

Or as we called it refrigerator white. The 67 TransAm (Titus factory*) cars were Chevy Sunfire yellow.

SA did some continuation coupes - I think they were CSX9000 series. I don't know whose kit they chose to stick their VIN tag on.

At least on CNBC - https://www.thedrive.com/news/jay-lenos-garage-canceled-on-cnbc-after-7-seasons-and-88-episodes-report

Also anybody else heard about the Indian attack on Jay? Found it - https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/jay-leno-suffers-broken-bones-motorcycle-accident-garage-fire-rcna67797

Jay Leno's Garage is ending its primetime run on CNBC after seven seasons on the channel and 88 episodes. The series began in 2015 after Leno left The Tonight Show and CNBC picked up the popular web series to air on its channel. Jay Leno's Garage featured the talk show host and his sizable car collection, and he often interviews guests about their cars.

CNBC confirmed the series' cancellation but didn't say if it would apply to the YouTube channel and series that Leno also hosts. In November, Leno was badly burned working in his garage and was admitted to a nearby hospital. He emerged after about a week with some burns but largely made a full recovery. Leno told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that he was also injured in a motorcycle crash riding a 1940 Indian motorcycle on Jan. 17 where he broke his collarbone, two ribs, and both kneecaps.

Shipping from Hawaii will be a killer. I wonder if Bob still has the clear MPC J Car he promised me when I worked for him on Kit Car - I told him he could keep the box I only wanted the model.

What is sad with all these prototypes is that todays designer has no imagination. All cars with the exception of the car companies look, look the same, and drive the same.

Thank .gov. They put in the rules that cars need to meet. Aerodynamics is a set of natural laws that the manufacturers need to use to get the most MPG to meet the .gov regs. Tricking engine efficiency with things like superchargers and turbos helps get more hp out of small engines bit it's a false economy because as soon as you reach for the max level you're burning more fuel.
