Damn...pages are taking forever to load !  And I hate that all the great data from the old forum was lost, a real shame. Now I have to ask all the same stupid questions I've already ask over the past 17 years..

Ok, thanks guys !  I kinda assumed it was original. I did buy the car from the original owner and really had no reason to believe he made any mods to the car. Going to have to figure out a way to keep it from rubbing the overlay away. Its too much of a pain in the ass to replace.

2185 at the lake . Grandson riding shotgun, saddle interior, 50k original miles, 4spd, a/c . 2 owner car. Now sporting a kick ass 347 stroker motor, original trans and rear. Original 46k motor on engine stand .

My car 2185, had a chrome metal bezel around the shifter boot. Is this the norm , or something the original owner added? It had a tendency to scar up the overlay which I recently replaced and I wonder about putting it back.
