By jove  Sherlock I believe you have it !

Nope, don't need to be a Sherlock. Just pointing out what should be obvious to a 2016 GTH owner!

Very kool shot you took, looks like 1 of the 172 GTHs has gone across the pond

"172 GTHs" implies 2016 Hertz. Looks far more like 2019 GT-H (Heritage)

Screwed up front facia (it is ok I can fix it) but the air deflector/underside splash shield for 2006 GTH.  Would sure appreciate anyone with any info on where I might search or find the parts.  Thanks,  Dave W. (dwalters72@gmail.com)

I believe the part you are referring to is the plastic "belly pan", (Ford Pt #5R3Z-17626-BA). However, you said there's damage to the front facia so you may also need the plastic "filler" (Ford Pt #7R3Z-17C947-AA).  The filler attaches to the bottom of the front facia and provides the mounting surface to which the front of the belly pan attaches.

Over 120 cars from the Jim Taylor Collection will be going to auction this coming Oct 14-15, 2022. The collection consists of
several Shelbys, including 1 of only 2 known collections of 4 Shelby Hertz cars, 6S542, 06H003, 07H481 and 16H014, each a documented factory manual transmission car. The auction site will be listing the specific cars soon.
Stay tuned.......

While this is accurate for the highest $ paid for a 2016 GT-H, it's about 6th on the list of "highest price paid for a GT-H".
06H001 sold 3 times for well over $200K and 07H001 sold once well over $200K and a second time for over $181K. The actual record would be shared between the '06 and '07 GT-H #1 cars, each selling at $250K (+ commission) at auctions in 2006 and 2007.

Clearly a "must read" for any Shelby enthusiast.  Since it's discounted and with Christmas just around the corner, purchase 2......treat yourself and a friend to an early Christmas gift.

Nice Craig! I was thinking about going looking for '06 # 477 but haven't taken on the task yet. It would be nice to have matching vins .

Randy
06H477 has some interesting history. The very first rental customer, from LAX, was auto journalist James Groth who featured the car in a article written for Auto Aficionado magazine. Later in 2006, #477 was rented by Joerg Maltzan, Autobild editor, and featured in 2 Youtube videos where it was driven.........how can I describe it.......spiritedly?

Thank you!!! 6S477 was LAX based too. Maybe in it's "thrashed" condition it would be "affordable" for me LOL.  Any idea where it is now? ( I know I'm being lazy and should look for it myself)
     Randy

Unfortunately, I don't know where it is today. All I can tell you is that it was registered in San Francisco from '08 thru 2012.

Not nit-picking here..........just want to set the record straight. Vantage has never had anything to do with 07H001. They DID list and sell 06H001 about 6-8 months ago.
