What are the rivets on an original grille?  Are they like a cap or with the traditional hole?

Try Mansfield Mustangs if no one has any originals.  Their website indicates they have some originals with photos!

I was the original owner of a '69 GT-500 #2564.  I too have the original owner card {and a Ford recall notice to modify the gas neck filler} that I would give to the current owner.  I have reached out to the registrar but he does not have a record of the current owner.

Agreed.  The repo batteries are expensive and do not last long.  Mine only lasted LESS than 6 months.  Got a nice battery and just added the topper.
