News from HQ / Re: NEW Server

Yes, Thank you. The elephant in the room question..... does the new server have a back up? Not intended to be snarky in any way, just thought I would ask and see if there was something in place going forward with all the new information that will be added. I'm sure everyone would like to know.

6S1904 was originally blue with white stripes. When we found it she was white with blue stripes. At the time of restoration there was the same debate. Do we paint it blue and white? Or do we go with the traditional white with blue. In 1990 there wasn't as big a focus on all original as there is today. Paint it what you like was the motto. So at the end of the day we painted her white. To this day I am still enjoying it the way "I" like it. There isn't a day I walk out to the car and say, "man I wish it was blue." I say if you find the right Shelby at the right price with all the right pieces on it..... and it's the wrong color...... and it's been painted before ( not an original paint car ) paint it! Again, it's only paint and it's been painted before. I feel that the time you are the caretaker of a specific car you should enjoy it as much as possible. If you like red and this car checks all the right boxes for you- paint it. I think paint color should be the last deterrent from buying a Shelby- just my 2 cents

What's a  1-of-1.Factory 4.30 rear, Deluxe Vermillion interior, Shaker car worth? That's the question. Then that will determine what you can replace it with.

I really like how the car sits. It has a great stance. Does it have any goodies under the hood? Cross Boss etc?

I've been off the website for a few days. First time back on and I can say its running extremely fast. Thanks to whomever addressed that issue and made it motor again! This should help get some of that lost information back online for those who have that valuable information stored in their heads!!  ;)

Anyone know the CSX number of the COBRA. I'm sure we will see it at an auction sometime soon.  Was it an original paint car?

I guess the real question is:

1. Is the site being worked on behind the scenes and that is creating a slow site

2. There are many people at one time uploading information that was saved elsewhere and is slowing things down.

3. The new site software does not have the performance of the old software and the speed is what it is.

I know I was trying to upload some images to my picture gallery over the last few days and have given up trying due to the performance issues.
