I certainly don't profess to know all there is, regarding Carroll Shelby and his ventures.  However, seeing a 1968 GT350 being advertised as a car purchased by Carroll for a community college in Texas certainly got my attention at a car show this weekend.

Am I the only one that hasn't heard this story?  Apparently, Carroll purchased this pictured 1968 Shelby GT350 for a community college in Texas, in addition to sending them over $700K in donations over the later course of his life.  Apparently, Carroll was working to try and get young people interested in working on cars (you can read the note attached - it actually looks like something out of a SAAC publication).

In any case, I really thought this was some interesting stuff - enjoy!

P.S. Does anyone know the Shelby # of this car?  The hood was closed, so I couldn't get a view.  I should have looked for the VIN at the base of the windshield, but I'm easily distracted.  ;)

I just posted pictures of a 1967 Shelby GT350 I saw yesterday at a car show...but, that wasn't the only Shelby on site.

6S264 made an appearance as well.  Attached are some photos I took of this car.

Yesterday, I made my way out to a car show located between San Antonio and Austin, Texas.  Yes, there is a huge up side to being in warmer climates...a February outdoor car show!

Here are some pics I took of a 1967 Shelby GT350 that was at the show - 951.

I don't know anything about this car, but it sure seemed to be below what the recent market has been for 65 GT350s at auction (all in price of $324.5K).

Also, the R Model (as mentioned in another thread) didn't get past the $800K mark.

Do people think the market is softening on 65s...both R and non-R?

Let’s get this party started! I’m hoping that posting pics on this forum will be easier than on the previous forum.  ;)

I’ll start by posting pics from Kissimmee last week.

First up:  1966 Shelby GT350 #6S1293

Well, I’m thrilled to start getting my fix of all things Shelby. But, I have to ask...what happened to the old forum? And, is there anyway to retrieve the information houses on the old forum?  :-\
