Hi Silver Ford,

Thank  you for sharing.  Can you post or send a view of the years 1972 and 1973?  1972 should be the volume 1 series and 1973 volume 2 series.  Did SOA have these years as complete sets with six?  The earliest I have is Vol 2, No 5 with Harold Heck and his 427 COBRA on the cover.  The Vol 2 No 6 is incorrectly dated  December 1974 with COBRA on the cover with a NO. 2 gum ball.  Do you agree?

I might also note two issues never exited Vol 4 No. 4 and Vol 4 No. 6.  Do you agree?

Thanks

Looks like a hotel group rate has already been established for at least Thur through Sat nights (8/2-8/5). If you call the Embassy Suites by Hilton San Rafael Marin County (415-499-9222), select the option for a New Reservation, and then say you're with Shelby American Automobile Club, they offered $215+tax per night. On their website, the lowest I found was the AAA rate at $275/nt, so that's a decent discount.  This is for a king bed room with a fold-out sofa. They offer a full-refund cancellation policy up to 2 days before check-in.

I can confirm this information to be accurate.  IIRC, I also have a buddy that was able to reserve two queen room for $245 a night.  It did take him 20 minutes on the phone though.  I am not sure what was the problem.  When I called, the reservation gal was a little hard to understand, but I did secure a single king reservations with confirmation without much trouble.

Best of luck

The placement of the driver side mirror makes the mirror pretty much non-functional.  This placement drives me crazy and it is such an easy one to get right.

Also, this should be pretty close to the end of the MICO master cylinder use.  Is that right?

1965 GT350/R-Model / Re: 1965 GT350... 36 more?
February 14, 2018, 07:39:30 PM
"Demand has far outpaced supply for the 36 original 1965 Shelby GT350s, with pristine examples bringing more than $400,000."

I think they need to check their auction selling prices a little closer. This price is closer to a non-R- model 65 GT350.  Aren't R-models closer to 7 figures?

Hi all,

Any one know the story behind this T-shirt?  I don't recall seeing before.  The seller is proud with a high asking price.

Thanks

Cory

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Re: Magnum 500 Wheels

I have heard from Stockton Wheels in California that they will restore these wheels, but get $350 a wheel.  I talked to them maybe two years ago or so.  They may still offer the service.

I believe the GT350 Chrome Magnum 500's wheels are made by Wheels Vintiques.  They look very nice, but I don't understand how they are made and not have the safety bead.  Or do they have the safety bead and it is not visible from outside the wheel?

The part number at Virginia Classic Mustang is HB191 and advertised at $289.95 each.  This pricing is very competitive to restoring an original wheel, making a set of five repop wheels attractive when compared  to restoring five original wheels.
