So I've seen both and have both. I know the 65 washer bag is FOMOCO, in white writing. Now I'm wondering about my 66, #1124. Which washer bag is it supposed to be? White FOMOCO or gold FORD?

Just wondering if the fuel pressure gauge, Smiths, is supposed to be erratic and constantly moving all around. You can get a good idea where the fuel pressure is, but the needle jumps around. Is this right? Or do I need to have the gauge rebuilt

Saw a post of 2 awesome firefighters saving a white 66 gt350 with torque thrust wheels from a house in malibu. It looks like a real 66 with 1/4 windows. Anyone here?

CSX1000, 4000, 7000, 8000 / Fuel Gauge

I know this is a bit of a simple/odd question... But why don't the csx 4000 cars have fuel gauges? IS there a solution?

Up For Auction / BJ 67 Gt500 Blue/Parchment

Sure looks nice! Though it is a reserve car, so that means it has to be $250 or above. Should be interesting.

So I'm stopped at a red light today, and a lexus pulls up along side of me. I look over and I see two mechanics from the local Porsche stealership. "Nice car, is that a 66," the first one says. I respond back, "1965, but pretty close!" The the other guy says, "it's absolutely beautiful, how could you drive it?" Of course my retort was, "how could I not?" Good times nonetheless. I guess there are only a few of us who actually drive our cars and even fewer who drive them as intended to be. Am I wrong?

James Mangold is directing for Chernin Entertainment that is due to be released in 2019. Christian Bale is supposed to play Ken Miles. It sounds like that character will be getting equal screen time, which I think is an elevation of Miles' real life role I don't think he was Shelby's fellow strategy advisor but was a.)race driver and b.) a test driver but not necessarily working on the big picture. Matt Damon as "The King" Shooting will take place in California, New Orleans and Atlanta, with just over two months of the shoot taking place in and around Cali's Kern, Orange, Santa Rosa and San Bernardino counties. Of course Willow Springs and LAX will have some scenes as well. Should be a good movie!

1965 GT350/R-Model / Gas Cap Early car
August 06, 2018, 10:37:12 PM
My car, #81, rolled off the San Jose assembly line in 1964 and was transformed into a Shelby in December. I heard that the early cars, including regular 1964 1/2 Mustangs had a gas cap with no tether. Is this in fact true?

1966 Shelby GT350/GT350H / Spare wheel/tire
July 23, 2018, 03:06:22 PM
I know this is rather basic, but did all 1966 GT350s come with a 14" 10 spoke spare wrapped in a Good Year Blue Streak tire? Or did the cars have standard Ford spares? Did some come with either?

So I accidentally pulled the cover off my spare and to my surprise... just a regular Mustang wheel. Anybody got an extra Kelsey Hayes Steel wheel or Cragar laying around?

Came off my 1967 GT500 4-speed. I believe this is from the 1970's as my car spent some time at the 1/4 mile tracks. Great Patina! Comes complete with shift knob, levers, rods, boot and plate. I do not know what other cars this will fit.

$300

email me for pictures as I can't post

Looks pretty nice with the correct paint in the engine compartment. Although the description, "Correct K-code-style engine with the correct Shelby intake manifold, tri-Y headers that have been specially coated and automatic transmission. The block is a K-code block with the K-code stamping on the side."

I assume this means not numbers matching

Just wondering. I know the early GT500s had the little red marker lights next to the fake air scoops. Did the 350s have them as well?
