Any idea on what the reserve is?

Thanks, If the 5/6 VIN is the deciding factor I'll just tell him to take a look and use that as a guide.  Thanks for your help.

Do all 66 Shelby's have the 9" with the rear bump out or did some of the early non-carry over cars have the round back? I have a friend with a car with a December build date (maybe around car 300+- cant recall) and I assume it's one with the bump out (not round back housing) but figured you never know since his car also originally had overrides.  Was there a transition date for the two housing styles?

I have a late 66 Shelby all cast iron T10 and it has an aftermarket Hurst shift assembly on it and have a few questions to get it back to original.
1) Could someone post a picture of the side of a similar trans so I can see how the rods and shifter assembly are mounted and be able to ID them?
2) Are the rods/shifter linkage and swivels T10 specific or are they the same as what's used on the top loader?
3) Is the shifter mechanism/base assembly the same as a regular 4spd top loader from that year? (I may have the parts just need a way to identify them)
4) If the shift rods or shift mechanism/base assembly are all unique to a T10, or Shelby for that matter, and I don't have them where would be the best place to source them so I don't buy the incorrect stuff?

Thanks for your guidance!!

Regional Shows and Events / Re: Ford Carlisle 2023
« on: May 05, 2023, 10:58:50 AM »
I recently started going to the spring and fall swap meets but was never able to go to the Ford one.  Is this as big as the spring and fall shows? What percent would you say is Mustang/Shelby parts versus other Fords?  Just curious as I may actually be able to get there this year (on the opening Friday).  Do the major east coast parts dealers attend like CJ's, Branda, Virginia etc. attend?

It seems like they are darker than ones I've seen in online auctions- have they been painted?

There is nice looking Shelby GT350 conv (not mine) on Facebook out of WV. Ad in Marketplace says, "1 of ten shelby convertibles given to playboy enterprises in 1968..." and " Out of the 10, this is the only black one".  Pretty interesting history.

Up For Auction / Intake and Carb for 67 GT350 on Facebook
« on: April 05, 2023, 11:08:39 AM »
I don't have a link to share but an Owen Brands in NJ just posted an ad for " 1967 Ford shelby intake" and it appears to be the intake and carb for $3800.  Maybe someone here is interested if they confirm authenticity and negotiate.  I'm not affiliated with it and don't need it just figured I'd share as it's not something I see every day on Facebook marketplace.

Wanted to Buy / 1966 Shelby Ten Spokes Wanted
« on: March 24, 2023, 05:06:42 PM »
I'm looking for 4 original 14 inch 1966 Shelby ten spoke wheels. If anyone has a set please PM me.

If anyone wants to chime in to give me an idea of what they go for these days (if you can find them) let me know.

I may have to go down the route of getting repro's but figured I'd first ask what's out there for originals. Thanks.

The Lounge / Re: 68 C code with reinforced shock towers?

Very interesting. From the few responses here it's not unheard of to have happened on some small block cars.  Guess you learn something every day- thanks for the education!!

The Lounge / 68 C code with reinforced shock towers?
« on: February 13, 2023, 08:22:26 AM »
I was shown a unrestored 1968 coupe project recently that has reinforced/wrap around shock towers but was a factory C code car. I thought they only came on big block cars?   They looked original and the buck tag and vin stamps confirmed it was a C code MT car with a "c" side stripe but no code for it being a GT either.  Just figured I'd ask if those types of shock towers also came on small block cars in 1968? Just curious for my general mustang knowledge.

Wanted to Buy / Friend needs a 1968 nose trim center piece
« on: February 10, 2023, 02:23:38 PM »
I have a friend who isn't a computer guy. He has a 68 Shelby and over the decades lost the small chrome piece at the nose where the two thin stainless/chrome grill molding strips come together at the top in front of the shelby letters.  Is there a dealer who makes and sells just that small piece?(he wants to avoid buying a whole kit for a few hundred). If someone has one they want to sell and are willing to ship then PM me with your info and I can have him call you. Thanks for your help.

Looks like someone found the ad from the last time it was listed for 59k and sold prior to paint. The paint looked decent before the respray- I would have left it unless I had to paint it. The ad also shows a block that came with the car (who knows maybe the original) but the BAT ad does not show an extra engine or block is included. If it was the original engine hopefully the new owner will get it.
