SO many comments I want to make! None of which would be appropriate, so I'll bite my tongue.   ;D
I'll comment, Young woman back in the 60's just had that absolute natural beauty.  Unlike these days, fake boobs, fake tan, fake hair, fake color eye contacts, fake nails, etc....

This woman is Naturally Beautiful. ;) 8)

+1   And NO visible tats!  (I'm betting none at all.)

She is gorgeous girlfriend-material for the ultimate cool guy with a Cobra, back in the day.

I've been to Laguna dozens of times and never saw Lady Godiva.  Guess I didn't have the right "pit pass."

Bigger view showing 1967 Mustangs

You can see horizontal grille bars.

I appreciate all the help so far

If anyone has any Downey items, they can be added to upcoming article

I love the (circa 1959-60?) Ford logo next to "Downey" on the building.

Bonus points for anyone who can i.d. the building across the street from the dealer (in foreground)...by the shadow of its sign.

Good article on Downey Ford...

Downey was still "safe" in '67. Middle class , safe to walk the streets. Sachs and Sons L/M was across the street and Yeakle Bros Chrysler Plymouth was next to Downey Ford The oldest "original" McDonald's location is right down the street too.

And the original Chris & Pitts BBQ restaurant too, Randy.

My parents' best friends lived in Downey, and we'd visit several times a year.  Yes, a nice safe little town, in the day.

I am wondering if it will not overheat in anything over 70 degrees. ;)

Probably no worse then a 67 GT500?  ;D
Keeping a 67 GT 500 cool would be a piece of cake by comparison IMO. A mildly warmed over 289 in a Tiger could have cooling issues I can't imagine what lengths you would have to go through to cool even a mild 429 in that small closed engine space . It is not like you could fit a much higher capacity radiator then what is available for a high performance 289 Tiger in it.

You could remove the hood.  Helps cool things down, and shows the world what you're packin'.

Super cool!  Congrats!

It is for AC clearance

Maybe Ed can explain the lack of vents?

ARA said they'd put A/C in any car. They didn't say anything about vents.  ;D

Very cool!  How much $$ was Ken's paycheck?  I know he earned every penny of it.

I agree.   And it seems like the only other car TV programs are stupider-than-dirt, boisterous idiot, Gas Monkey type shows.

Car #1888 is not the Morrison car. The 67 Registry has told the owner this repeatedly. He still doesn't get it.
We have clear documentation of the real car #939.
The present owner of #1888 even changed the black interior to parchment to make the car look more like the Morrison car.  It isn't.
I hope Motor Trend TV did their homework or they will look like a bunch of idiots.
Dave

They will look like a bunch of idiots - the people a Motor Trend are not car people they are woke  entertainment people. I am sure whatever they produce will be awful..

I hope you mean TODAY'S  MT staff.  Not the good ol' days (I resemble that remark.)

And I agree with you about every car mag these days.  C/D is a joke.  All the car mags are shadows of their former selves.  Sad to see.

Looks "bitchin"...as we used to say.  I love the Torq-Thrust look.

JC Penneys

So, while my mom was at Penney's buying me new school clothes, she impulse-bought an intake manifold, Holley carb and set of headers.

Time to get those smudge pots lit.

Yes!  Protect that citrus crop.   I'd have done the same thing.  And so did my relatives who owned orange and grapefruit groves, back in the ol' days.

More good use for fossil fuel.  Probably clean-kerosene.  ;D

^^^ I fully understand!  Some things can take priority at that age, even above having a super cool car (well...maybe not.)

I blew up the 427 S-O in my KR on Willow Springs in Oct '83.   Only took until Oct 2014 to get it back on the road again.  31 years.

In the interim, I trailered it to four houses I'd moved to, then sold it, regretted it, and tracked down the owner after 12 years to buy it back.  Fortunately, he'd done nothing at all to the car except store it indoors, so it was exactly as I'd left it.

Congrats on keeping your car safe all these decades, and making the decision to get 'er back into running condition.  That first roar of the new engine start-up will be time travel for you.

Check out the hood ornament & front grille emblem on this 68 & I wouldn't want my fingers under those fenders like that 😂

WTH with the front turn signals?  Upside down Pinto tail lights?
