Could someone give me the width of the front sway bar bracket & the sway bar diameter from an original bracket for a 68 GT 500?

 Bob
Is this Virgina Mustang parts that you are referring to? Ya the poly bushing are too wide & actually hit at the radius on the bar not allowing them to come together which won`t allow the bracket holes to align.

Ya I now have time to get back to testing this tach.  I have tested the light & plan on using the wifes 65 Mustang  as the test station by removing the coil Batt (+) terminal hooking the black from the tach to the coil & the red wire to wire that i removed from the coil. If the car does not start the tach is defective.

No not a replaced tach as the owner stated he bought it  in 1966 for $60 & installed it in his fairlane. He has since taken a turn to the dark side he has quite a few chevy`s & sold a GT Mustang but has a bunch of parts . He claims the tach  was working when he removed  it but we will see.

Thats what I was thinking so if these mounted on the dash which was not metal that meant the screws going through the dash pad into the metal acted as the ground?

No there was no plug- ins on the wire ends, matter of fact the wires were cut right at the case ends.

Again Thanks for all  the  input from everyone.

Thanks for all the info . Just one question is there no GROUND to the tach as both wire connect to positive?

I thoughtof just running the red to the ign terminal on the coil & black to the (-) ground on the battery & firing up the engine. Blue wire is the light.
