CSX2125 should not have a foot box tag, only a frame stamped number.

CSX 2000 Series / Re: 1964 8K Tachometer install

It probably wouldn't be to difficult to have one of the gauge rebuilding outfits modify the face of your tachometer so that it has the Rotunda logo. It looks like the elimination of the "Faria" and the addition of the "Rotunda" is all that is needed.

Were the owners names listed in the Registry? I ask because I know sometimes owners do not want their information made public.

Judging by the rest-mod prices vs original cars prices it seems to be a Resto-mod market.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Re: harmonic Balancer

Service part, these were not production line parts. It looks like someone tried to over stamp the C8ZE part number with a "7" and then got frustrated and tried to obliterate the modification.

CSX1000, 4000, 7000, 8000 / Re: Engine off set
January 19, 2019, 01:42:28 AM
The original CSX2000 Cobras had the offset per A-Snakes description and reasons.
The early CSX7000 Cobras did not have an offset like the original 260/289 Cobras and had drive shaft angles that were very bad given the length of the drive shaft. Both the aluminum and glass bodied cars had this problem, for whatever reason nobody at SAI in Zvegas bothered looking at an original chassis to copy the mints and the offsets, the mounts utilized a regular passenger car motor mount where the originals used the hipo designed mount. When SAI ordered aluminum chassis from Kirkham the chassis was void of engine and transmission mounting brackets. The problem was not that difficult to correct on the Kirkham chassis but the glass body chassis cars were very difficult to correct due to the "Daytona" backbone or trellis that ran from front of the car to back of the car.
Later Superformance built CSX7000 Cobras did not have this problem and utilized the CSX2000 Cobras engine and transmission bracket locations.

Micro-Lube was another oil additive that SAI seems to have endorsed, SAIs 1964 team race cars had their stickers on the cars.

Actually a lot of the reason for changing the bodies from one brand (say Willy's) to another brand (say Ford) was the fact that some of these teams were being sponsored by manufacturers and the manufacturer was looking for some identity payback. I know this happened to at least one car imparticular "Ohio George Montgomery" who campaigned a '33 Willy's coupe powered by a Ford Cameron. Ohio switched his Willy's body to a Mustang body to maintain his sponsorship, the chassis was still the '33 Willy's chassis.
This is somewhat responsible for the Gasser class being done away with, brand identity, corporate sponsorship and the creation of the "Funny Car" class.

Here is what a 289 Cobra foot box would look like, it has an oversized dead pedal installed.

There is far more room in an original 289 Cobra than a 427 Cobra and the seating position itself is more normal than in a 427 Cobra that has you twisted to the left to make room for the larger engine next to your feet. As a matter of fact the 289 Cobra has so much more room that there is a dead pedal fitted in the foot box to rest your left foot on.
I have converted both the aluminum and fiberglass bodied 289 based Continuation Series Cobras to the correct 289 foot boxes, it's not an easy conversion but it very worthwhile once done.

Shelby used 427 type foot boxes on all of the early Continuation Series Cobras, CSX4000, CSX7000 and CSX 8000 Series Cobras. The 427 foot boxes are a lot more cramped than an original 289 type foot boxes, especially in width and pedal position.
