I have seen several original 289 roadsters with the exhaust exiting in front of the rear wheel.  The owner of one of these cars explained that the installation of the optional competition rear suspension took up the space required for the full-length rear-exiting exhaust.  Was this a popular option and was the standard muffler system used on the side exhaust cars?

The white rally stripes, from what I have read, are Chevrolet commercial white or Chevrolet bright white.  Can anyone please provide specifics?  Also, I would appreciate advice on how to prevent clear coat making the white stripes look yellowish.

Is there a schedule of events for SAAC-45 yet? 

For a re-build, is it recommended to stay with the umbrella design deflector shields or go to a positive seal?  I have been told that it may be difficult to find a positive seal in the size needed for the K-heads.

Is it possible to determine the actual production date of a car using the Ford VIN?

Information on file in the Registry under the Shelby VIN lists only the order and shipping dates for this car.  There apparently is a 289K registry book, however, the Ford VIN for the car I am researching is not listed on the page listing San Jose K-Codes with a range of Ford VINS that should include this car. 

Can someone please advise me what is the correct color/finish of the master cylinder cap for a 1966 GT350?  I have been told that it should be painted black.

Does anyone have a source for a stamp to apply the red Autolite logo and other data to an alternator for a 1966 car?

Many of us came from a great distance but it was worth it.  Thanks to all the SAAC and NORCAL staff and the many volunteers that made a truly memorable convention.  Even the chicken I had at the banquet was good!  Thanks again.

Is it necessary to register or pick up your pre-registration credentials at the track prior to attending this event?
