1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Stable mate
« on: January 03, 2022, 09:23:21 PM »
Picked up a stable mate for the 67, she's a 1934 Ford Henry Ford all steel pick up truck chopped & channeled. The color is called Washington blue it's a factory Ford color from the era and it really complements the Nightmist blue of the 67 Shelby GT500  & they both look great in my shop & yes it's got a Chevy motor in it for now.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Comfort weave interior in parchment cars
« on: October 21, 2021, 11:21:16 AM »
This topic was brought up in another thread in the auction section of cars for sale, and was said that there were no parchment cars with comfort weave interior code 5U  only smooth interior code 6U .Well my Nightmist blue/parchment car has comfort weave which seems to be original & my DSO that came with my car seems to show  that .

Up For Auction / 2008 Gt500KR cheap
« on: October 10, 2021, 07:20:53 PM »
A friend sent this to me he ended up passing on it but I have some info on it ,apparently the guy will take 25K for it but it has a salvage title but everything has been fixed.I was thinking about it myself just to have it ,it seems to be about half the price of what they're going for which seems about right considering a salvage title.Might be cool for an around town beater .I have access to the Carfax if anyone needs any more info on it ,it's located in SoCal & I talked to the owner its currently got 28K miles on it

Managed to grab this at a pretty reasonable price & seems to be all there & in good shape except someone painted it ,I did some research and although hard to see it seems to have all the right markings on it ,I see the 8146-A and the rectangle FoMoCo logo &  it looks like it says Barnum os on it .The pictures were a little deceiving because somewhere along the line someone painted the whole thing ,they took a small glass blaster to reveal the horse hair finish underneath. So question is do you think it's legit & any recommendations for removing the paint ,possibly paint stripper or maybe walnut blast and then I'm wondering ,would it be too porous looking would it possibly need some kind of matte clear coat on it.

Up For Auction / "Rarest Shelby on the planet"
« on: April 24, 2021, 12:55:40 PM »
Not my words but they seem to be eluding to some some secret history on  this 68 GT500KR & at $420k i certainly hope so, any ideas apparently the clue is in the gold stripes & 69 wheels ,they left off the last vin#s.

Collector's Dream Cars Las Vegas LLC proudly presents... An original 1968 Shelby. 1 of 299 sold This is likely the rarest Shelby on the planet! 18K original miles! This car is a one owner car that was found in the back of a garage on jack stands since 1978. What is juicy about this car is the history. We would love to share it but the first clue is the '69 Shelby rims and gold striping. Like a time capsule, this car is original with no restoration. Its equipped like a true collector wants one 428 Cobra Jet, 4 speed, Air Conditioning, with the rear folding backseat. Any reasonable offers will be considered! We understand that buying on the web could leave room for uncertainty of the quality/ condition of the vehicle. We are happy to Facetime, Google Duo, or video anything you want to see specifically.
