So my car came with out the elusive fan shroud & i assume i'll never find one, in the mean time i'm looking for the best replacement repop ,i found this one on Ebay looks to have some kinda textured fiberglass finish & part # on it,or are there any better repop recommendations & i did confirm i have an original 23" radiator with the Fomoco stamp .Unless someone has one tucked away lmk i'd pay good $ for it & would promise not to put a caution fan sticker on it  :)

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Passenger side mirror
April 21, 2020, 12:22:16 AM
Was this an option for 67 ,did it show up on Marti reports or invoices & if so was it always the remote type ,or was it something installed by dealers.Mine doesn't have one but i've seen plenty of 67 pics where they have one,it's a real Pia trying to park without one.

I got the regular deluxe Marti report about a month ago but the statistics page just came today, one out of six isn't bad i guess but question is ,does this mean there was only 14 Nightmist blue/parchment cars made in 1967,sorry i can't figure out how to rotate that  pic it's not sideways on my phone

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Some parts ?
March 28, 2020, 09:51:35 PM
Taking the 67 GT500  in on Monday to a trusted local shop ,to install a few basic items that weren't correct on my car that bug me like hoses, belts, wires, heater & hose clamps etc & an Oem yellow top coil coil  & power steering pump, got most of the stuff from Marti works questions are. Thanks in advance for any answers

1.I got the red stripped heater hoses even though Marti Works called me & said those aren't for 67's but i saw a thread where you guys said get the red & not the white ones correct.

2. Which color regulator should i be using the Black one or the blue one that i had left over form my KR

3. The upper & lower radiator hoses aren't smooth & are kinda ribbed so FoMoCo & part # have a smudged look to them that i don't like, is that how they look or is there another source for these anyone knows of.

4.Is that yellow top Autolite coil the right one

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Gt500 floor mats
March 02, 2020, 11:01:21 PM
Seems like a simple request but i've searched high & low with all the usual suspects for the basic rubber & carpet ones with gt500 in big letters on them .I've bought several sets of these over the years ,I've looked at Cj pony ,Branda ,Year one & Npd nothing & goggle only shows the Lloyd ones which are full carpet,i like to keep a spare one in the trunk for car shows, any link or help would be appreciated, like the ones in this pic.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Driving on Goodyear Speedways
February 23, 2020, 02:33:09 PM
I have a fresh set of the Goodyear speedway 350's  because I just love the look of them ,wondering what's others driving impressions on these are ,they seem to be allover the road with me once I get going 60 mph or so ,the car gets real floaty i have to move the steering wheel back & forth to keep it straight & kinda tracks in the lines on our crappy SoCal freeways. Is this how they are I have pressure at 32 psi like it says on the tire ,or maybe my suspension or steering is worn out ,I did notice all the bushings are kinda old & cracked up .Btw keeping the gold ten spokes for now they where done well & seem to be a Pia  to get them refinished  I talked to a guy recommended in another thread & he said he didn't know when he could even get to them, they kinda match the gold Gt500 emblem.

1967 Shelby GT350/500 / Fog light ?
February 16, 2020, 09:44:37 PM
Playing with the car this weekend & I notice one of the center fog lights is out so ? Is do these come on with the headlights or is there a switch to turn the center lights on or off ,or are they high beams & stay on all the time I'm confused about these ,looking in the owners manual it shows a switch under dash & a seat belt light that I don't seem to have .

So thanks to everyone along the way who helped me on my journey to find a 67 GT500 car ,you guys have commented on several cars i've asked about over the last year .Even though i had never actually seen a parchment car in person until recently ,i knew i wanted one of these rare birds just based on the pics i'd seen. But they never seemed to come up for sale ,until recently when 2 of them popped up so i knew i had to make a move.I was outbid on the Dark moss green one at Scottsdale BJ a few weeks (stayed in till $180) but i knew this one was available also ,so i had it checked out as  soon as i got home form Scottsdale ,it all seemed to checked out with the # on block & bjbk carbs ,& was in pretty good  condition.Picked it up for $140 which i thought was a good deal considering the color combo & todays market .
Appears to have had a restoration done about 8 to 10 yrs ago with very little milege since, paint is really good has a few minor blemishes & chrome is really nice my detail guy is gonna work his magic with paint correction & ceramic coat & should look great ,interior is unbelievably good for it's age & that its so white no rips or tears anywhere.Engine bay is very presentable & clean several things missing & wrong but easily fixable .For the price i paid i'm very satisfied & looking forward to enjoying it.
Couple observations & ? came with a full 6 page DS0 #2562 is this considered a built sheet ? & also noticed in another thread some guys where looking for a full legible copy of this DSO #2562 lmk & i can send it over .
Also baed on another thread i was able to locate the Ford vin under the passenger side fender & got the Marti already which says it came with 10 spokes which is cool as i like those anyway ,but mine which seem to be original (tapered spoke) have the centers painted gold ,is that possibly original (I'm guessing not ) & does anyone have a contact of someone on the West coast that refinishes  them thanks.

Last time I went to this they were out by the race track now it's only about 10 minutes from the strip. They give a pretty good guided tour twice a day & it's all free & tour guide is pretty informative ,took about 1 hr at  least going over the whole history including the Chrysler years haha I forgot about those lol. Some nice cars there which are apparently rotated to keep it fresh .Not sure if this 67 was the original super snake or not & a nice 65 .And of course a store full of merchandise with CS name on it ,you name it they had it with a Shelby name  on it everything but the kitchen sink lol, anyway great way to kill an afternoon if you wanna get out of the casinos for a bit.

I checked in with Dave Mathews already on this & he was gracious enough to give me some info on it & I have 97 registry's info ,Dave told me it went through BJ a few yrs back on East coast ,he said he saw it but hood was closed ,& had some repo parts  ,it has a lot paperwork build sheets etc. What do you guys think on engine bay I'm thinking about flying out to see it ,or any recommendations on someone in the area I could pay to put some expert eyes on it thanks Adam .Obviously listed incorrectly as a Kr

Love the options on this one but what do you think about the description "mostly original body & drivetrain parts  " & "title exempt" i looked it up in "97" registry & it says it was raced with a 427 but ad claims original motor any other info out there on this one thanks.

Lot #1427 - Beautiful, original 1967 Shelby GT500. This car is equipped with mostly original body and drivetrain parts with minimal touchup to the paint. Still retaining its original 428ci Police Interceptor engine, 4-speed transmission and Traction-Lok rear end. Amazingly, this car only has less than 30,000 original miles (title reads exempt), as verified by the SAAC. Owned by the previous owner for over 22 years and the current owner for 9 years, it has been well-kept in climate-controlled warehouses for the past 31 years. One of 64 produced in this paint and trim package. The original Shelby Owner's Manual and a Marti Report is included to document this magnificent car, which is listed in the Shelby American World Registry.
