Great show i really enjoyed myself not to be missed for car guys if you've ever been ,so much more to do than just the cars if you wanna take a break. It's easy to get caught up in the moment though it was my 1st time bidding & it's little intimidating to say the least ,i bid  up to more than i wanted to pay for the 67 Dark moss green car luckily, someone came in higher at $190 & i didn't have buyers remorse on Mon Lol .But it all worked out ,i had already had another car in mind &  i pulled the trigger on that  car today ,just as nice  i thought for 140K  & no 10 % fee & seller worked with me on the bill of sale  ;)

I checked in with Dave Mathews already on this & he was gracious enough to give me some info on it & I have 97 registry's info ,Dave told me it went through BJ a few yrs back on East coast ,he said he saw it but hood was closed ,& had some repo parts  ,it has a lot paperwork build sheets etc. What do you guys think on engine bay I'm thinking about flying out to see it ,or any recommendations on someone in the area I could pay to put some expert eyes on it thanks Adam .Obviously listed incorrectly as a Kr

Thanks any mention of the title saying exempt & wtf does that mean anyway i wonder

Love the options on this one but what do you think about the description "mostly original body & drivetrain parts  " & "title exempt" i looked it up in "97" registry & it says it was raced with a 427 but ad claims original motor any other info out there on this one thanks.

Lot #1427 - Beautiful, original 1967 Shelby GT500. This car is equipped with mostly original body and drivetrain parts with minimal touchup to the paint. Still retaining its original 428ci Police Interceptor engine, 4-speed transmission and Traction-Lok rear end. Amazingly, this car only has less than 30,000 original miles (title reads exempt), as verified by the SAAC. Owned by the previous owner for over 22 years and the current owner for 9 years, it has been well-kept in climate-controlled warehouses for the past 31 years. One of 64 produced in this paint and trim package. The original Shelby Owner's Manual and a Marti Report is included to document this magnificent car, which is listed in the Shelby American World Registry.

They say it was ordered in 65 & they even call it a Gt350 at one point

Shelby GT500 . This Shelby GT500 (serial number 6S079) is striking in Wimbeldon White with blue factory stripes. This is one amazing find, purchased by prior owner in 1978 and 33 years later traded to us, when was the last early "carry over" 66 you saw with this kind of long term ownership history?!

6S079 was ordered in October 1965 and shipped to a dealership in Pennsylvania, she had factory stripes and rear seats as options. After traveling through several new car dealers hands she was eventually sold to her first owner in late 1966. This owner had 6S079 for several years before having a fender bender and retiring her to his garage until owner #2 acquired sometime after.

Owner #2 purchased the Shelby in 1978 needing to have her bodywork repaired, he set out to make her complete again using all Ford nos body parts/panels. Once all was compiled the car was sent to a well known restoration shop to be completed and and this stunning Shelby GT350 came out a concourse winning car being shown for the first time at SAAC-12 Charlotte 7/87.

Owner #2 drove and enjoyed the car on the show circuit, track, and around town for the next 9 years then sent her back to the restoration shop to be freshened up once again in 2007, the car had fresh paint applied and looks beautiful today, 4 years later.

6S079 is a very rare early 66 "carry over" car, if not familiar with these cars, you should do your research, one of the rarest of the Shelby GT500's and 1 of only a couple hundred she is a great piece to drive and enjoy or put into your collection as a center piece representative of the best of Carrol Shelby's products of the 60's.

Today, this GT500 is aged a bit but needing nothing, we are installing a new factory style exhaust system and detailing the car, otherwise she will be sold as-is.

Price $ 189,995
